It’s like every neoliberal approach - put economy through shock to mobilise all resources. Private sector sees it, loots through new resources giving illusion of economic activity. Then economy slumps because poor and middle class need to deal with cuts in social services, reduced wages and slipping down into poverty. Crime rates increase, government needs more policing and jails. Workers unhappy, want to organise, but private sector can’t allow it, then censorship starts, restrictions starts and we are moving into fascism state. I’ll give it 10-15 years before Argentina moves into full authoritarian regime with Milei.

Summary of the Video Part 1 of the video discusses Javier Milei's first 100 days as President of Argentina, focusing on his radical economic reforms inspired by free-market principles. Milei has devalued the peso, slashed government spending, and aimed to align the official peso with its black market value. Despite facing a history of economic turmoil, Milei's policies have seen some success, with inflation decreasing and public support remaining strong. The video also touches on Milei's plans for dollarization, his moral stance against the central bank, and the challenges of implementing currency competition in a bankrupt economy. Highlights: 1. **Milei's Economic Reforms** [00:00:00][^1^][1] * Devaluation of the peso * Reduction in government spending * Initial success in controlling inflation 2. **Currency Control and Dollarization** [00:01:28][^2^][2] * Plans to lift currency controls post-mid-term elections * Goal to eliminate the central bank * Challenges with currency competition and political opposition 3. **Fiscal and Monetary Challenges** [00:03:06][^3^][3] * Inherited a bankrupt central bank * Undertook unprecedented fiscal adjustment * Strategy to clean up the central bank's balance sheet 4. **Political and Social Impact** [00:13:50][^4^][4] * Tackling government jobs and subsidies * Navigating political opposition and the Supreme Court * Public support amidst economic hardship Part 2 of the video discusses Argentina's economic strategies, international relations, and political ideologies. It highlights the government's approach to a Chinese space station in Patagonia, trade relations with China, negotiations with the IMF, and the country's fiscal policies aimed at reducing debt and achieving economic solvency. The video also touches on support for Israel's actions in Gaza and the president's libertarian views, including support for Donald Trump's policies against socialism. Highlights: 1. **Chinese Space Station and Trade Relations** [00:36:29][^1^][1] * Audit and inspection of the station * $18 billion currency swap with China * Trade exchanges remain unchanged 2. **IMF Negotiations and Economic Reforms** [00:38:28][^2^][2] * Seeking IMF approval for reforms * Potential $44 billion facility * Exceeding IMF targets in record time 3. **Fiscal Policies and Public Debt Markets** [00:41:41][^3^][3] * Zero financial deficit after interest payments * Reduction in country risk levels * Increase in bond prices 4. **Support for Israel and Political Ideology** [00:43:05][^4^][4] * Endorsement of Israel's government actions * Libertarian views and admiration for certain economists * Alignment with Trump's identification of socialism as the enemy

We hope he can thread the needle, he has a lot to go on in a corrupt banking country and inside of a historically special kleptocratic country... The best outcome is his ability to bring together the two ends on board with his own ideas, to make a benefit for all, not just the wealthy special well well-connected elite rich and business criminal class but also the extremely poor who would rather have another plan, or to even overthrow and create a communist balanced ( NOT ) system. And which some other countries have done. Where some poor and basic citizens believe they would be better off without a good capitalist stable system... So to him, ' The best of Luck .' In an interview with a learned man that throws around lots of technical concepts and terms, and speaks in such long and (relatively for what we're used to with politicians) complicated sentences, it's better to just have him subtitled rather than dubbed. The translator, while good, struggles at times to keep up and obviously the tone of voice of what he's saying doesn't carry, the translation being completely out of sync sometimes with the phrase he's speaking at the time. Kinda hard to watch, feels a bit wasted.

Buy Argentina now. he's already performed amazingly and has served all people of Argentina, even those who do not understand it, very well in his roughly 100 days in office. Give it time. I wish more western leaders would act like he does. would tremendously benefit everyone in the west. (not an opinion btw)

I am definitely rooting for Milei and the prosperity of Argentina. He is an absolute HERO, and the people that voted for him are are absolute heroes for willing to brave the sacrifice of austerity in the short term, for the potential of a much brighter future. Argentina could really be the torch bearer of freedom in the future if the US continues to elect leaders that push the woke agenda of communism, censorship, authoritarianism, and anti-critical thinking (aka the "progressives" (really should be called the regressives)/democrats)

Milei's government has an anti-corruption brigade headed by minister Sandra Pettovello, and they're doing major work in that front, since the institutionalized corruption is of course, fault of the 20 years of previous populist governments. I'm from Argentina and I kid you not, every single day there's a new corruption case being unveiled. It's a slow process but trust me, I know what you mean, it's that corruption and political clientelism which has held the country back despite having massive resources, both natural and in human capital.

Bloomberg still represents Americans Governments values, so if youre confused about the bad interview its because it reflects poorly on American powers when Milei is successful, more people are going to ask "Why arent we doing this?" "Why cant we accomplish this if he can?" So bloomberg has an investment in asking childish questions like "Why isnt everything fixed yet" "arent people sad they cant get free stuff recently and destroy the country further?"

I have half a mind that Milei's 'dollarization' platform was, to a significant degree a rhetorical political strategy with an eye to getting elected. Why do I say this? How could an orthodox Austrian want to import a currency and monetary regime (that of the U.S.) that has been based for years, at least until the recent tightening, on excessive credit expansion? Wouldn't such an economist and technocrat vastly prefer a gradual process where a sovereign currency in the form of a strong Argentine peso was established, such that saving, investment, capital accumulation, productivity growth, and real wage growth were all optimally incentivized (as opposed to consumption and malinvestment)?
