Absolutely disagree with Soltero, that viscous tackle could’ve broke Shaffleburgs leg.
@OttawaRocks3 ай бұрын
100% agree. When I saw the tackle live I thought it was a hard tackle and it was worth a yellow. However, when I saw the replay it was clear what Araujo's intention was and yes, he could have easily broken Shaffleburg's leg. Very dangerous.

Argentina Is fine. The problem Is that the other teams will only deffend against them. This game was pretty similar to the one with Mexico in the world cup. For me they aré great in offense and as a team. They did an amazing second goal against Canadá with like 30 passes. Messi almost Score one similar here with ball hitting the side of the post. Its weird how Many Easy ocassion they missed. But thats it. Argentina Will look better when the oponnent tries to win.

It was a very impressive game for chile, considering the shit show of a game that was vs Peru. They literally couldn’t get the ball, Argentina is too good for Chile to even get the ball

I don't agree with the Peru red card. That was absolutely a red card, and Peru should've had a guy sent off in the first half for a headbutt on Johnston.

This is why Argentina wins. Because they battle to the death. Argentina didn’t win the last copa looking pretty, they won the World Cup by not looking pretty. When other teams play like dogs Argentina knows how to dig deep. It’s not about looking great it’s about the win in the end. Also Argentina grows as the tournament goes on. Argentina is just getting the vibe flowing, soon they will be running on full cylinders.

I disagree with the analysis of Argentina..It's tournament football so yes we may get knocked out in the next round or we may go on to win the whole thing.I hope for the latter. May be I'm biased because I'm an Argentina fan but I'm happy with what my team has shown. I have been following dead Argentina teams of past,it was complete Messi-dependencia..In the past, the didn't have any Argentina DNA about them and watching Argentina used to be a tourture.Only thing good about them was Messi. Do you remember how disastrous Russian world cup Argentina team was? Now coming to the past 2 performamces: Yes,finishing hasn't been good at all. But I still believe we're playing good football.With the amount of chances we've been creating we should have won both games comfortably. Is Argentina perfect? No,absolutely Not Is Argentina as bad/boring/uninspiring as England or France in the Euros? No Way P.S: England/France may still win the Euros by the way... Vamos Argentina

Guys... Canada should have been up a man in the FIRST HALF... How can you not be talking about that effing deliberate head butt?! Seriously, are you part of VAR? LOL They deserved to win it. Maybe that red card was a make up call for not giving a REAL red in the first half. Maybe. I could see that. But a red card was deserved for the head butt. And by the book, that "follow through" was a deserved red.
@desandrade79273 ай бұрын
Did you watch the match...did you even watch the highlights? Every professional footballer that watched the play or after the game said definite red on Araujo. Most added the comment that Araujo knew what he is doing. Spikes up bone breakers (Shaffelburg's tibia flexed) are going to be a red - the ball touch was merely a prop, the intent was injury.
@cre8ivjay3 ай бұрын
100 degrees (the ref collapsed.. that says something). Two VERY CLEAR red cards against Peru. Only one given. This game was always going to suck. Peru played well, but they self destructed on the idea that they needed to play dirty. Now they're basically out of COPA. They are a skilled team, and had they played a clean game, they likely would have won. Canada played poorly, and I have no idea why. Could have been the press, the heat, the antics.. no idea. I feel they'll play better on Saturday. If they show up like they did against the Netherlands (1st half), France, or Argentina, they can advance.
@pBoyce19913 ай бұрын
Canada were direr in the first half i will admit that and the subs made the impact that was needed for Canada to have a better second half. Not mentioning that Peru should have been down a man in the first half for the headbutt makes me question if you watched the full game and the red card that was given could have broke his leg if Shaffelburgs leg was planted.

Boring ... to wait and watch 90 minutes to watch a single goal or even no goals. But the fault lies with the game's design, especially if a weaker opponent goes into a defensive shell. On the other hand, American-designed sports have no such defect, meaning you must play defense and offense with equal fervor or you will lose ... makes it more exciting to watch w/ higher scoring frequencies. i.e. basketball and American football!

Thats whats crazy about SA. Rarely will you see 4-0 6-0 or 4-4 score lines. Matches always tend to be intense. Unfortunately for Chile, I think this tournament came way to soon for how late Gareca was appointed. He would of taken over before Berizzo im sure wed see a different Chile. Also gotta consider the fact there is only 4 maybe 5 player from the prime 2016 team who are way past their prime. Their new generation has potential but its honestly crazy to be expecting results out of them this early. Osorio, Davila, Marcelino Nuñez, Echeverria, all bloomed this past season and we in Chile love to destroy our starts before they can even shine. Football wise its hard to compare a World Cup Champion team to a new team with a new coach. I will say 1-0 is unacceptable for the level they are at. A 41 year old Bravo cannot be the best player on the pitch when you have a world cup winning team.

I have been watching soccer games since I grew up overseas as a youngster, and soccer was everywhere. Soccer is not a great game from the game design perspective. It is fun to play but not to watch because of low-scoring results, especially when a weaker opponent goes into a defensive shell and plays for PK ... I remember how Italy played such a game in the WC finals in 1994 vs Brazil ... boring! American-designed sports have no such flaw, whether basketball, football, or baseball.

Whether playing to win or lose, these low-scoring games are boring, especially when they end in 0 - 0 ... if you do not believe me, then check the results of the Copa or Euro, which are going on right now! Soccer is a beautiful game to play, but these low-scoring results due to game design flaws are killing the sport. Especially when these weaker teams go into a defensive shell.
