I recently saw the suggestion that if they ever turned this game into a live action film (which I would absolutely watch), Helena Bonham Carter would be the perfect Harper and now I can't un-see Harper as HBC. I sort of really want that to happen now, haha.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harper's look was based on the actress. Little Jackalope confirmed that Ewan's character design in SPY was based on David Tennent.

@@theonlyredwolf that would be really cool if they did indeed base her on HBC. I honestly forgot about Ewan being based on David, so it's definitely a possibility she was in some way inspired by HBC!

According to my reading a bit more background about the game’s story, I found that Jessalyn’s folks are no longer together/a couple. It also looked like Clara never married Jessalyn’s dad hence maybe why she has the Thornton last name instead. Many believe the woman in Clara’s is Charlotte, but it could be Harper. I used to think it was Jessalyn, but this made me confused on why it would be covered up if it was her. The graves I get, but not her daughter. It’s still a mystery too me as why it was included in the first place and then what the reason was for covering up anyway. My guess is that Colton may be 3-5 years older than Jessalyn to where he could remember Charlotte. My guess is the photos in the burnt house are of Charlotte and of some family members, or it was being lived in before the party and being burned hence why they are in there. Years later I realized that Charlotte was wearing the locket for her party the night she died, I’m surprised that not only it survived the fire, but why was it taken off her corpse? If it was burnt wouldn’t it was stuck to her body in some way due to the fire and heat? Kinda disturbing if you think about it. Also I later learned that Nancy’s name was on the headstone because Harper carved it there for revenge for telling on her. I thought it was the ghosts and something creepier.

Unfortunately, reporting any comments rarely does anything. Unless Michael had someone trusted to be a moderator for his channel to deal with it, there isn't an easy way to get rid of them; however, he could go into KZbin Studio to remove them perhaps, which requires more work for him though.

Im pretty sure it's Harper on the portrait. they covered it up because she had some beef with Clara, plus the whole family started to hate her and rejected her. why she was included in the painting tho? prolly just because they could make a puzzle outta it and make the players more confused. let's not forget this game is probably the best at leavin questions unanswered(which ialso probably contributes to why it's the many players favorite. it's my favorite game in the seriesz second being the Sea of Darkness

why was I actually really scared of these games as a kid and now, I don't find the "scary scenes" scary at all? like, I couldn't even watch shadow at the waters edge, or the one about dogs, or the course of black moor manor... I turned them off after the first scary scene or sound( Ive never actually played these games, but I saw the walkthroughs), now I can watch everything at 3 am home alone and then go to sleep right after(I actually sometimes do stay up late watching horror movies. I cover my eyes whenever a jump scare is coming, just in case, coz I don't like this feeling of almost having a heart attack, but I replay it right after, and I'm not scared. I used to be scared by these games now they don't bother me at all, the ghostly figures or monsters, etc...I wonder am I getting old(turning 26 at the very last day of may... now it's february, so I guess I'm still 25... :D) or just used to that after watching so many dumb horrors on Netflix... or both perhaps... I used to be very sensitive to the mildest blood, now I'm rather unbothered by it as well...
