This was the very first nancy drew game I ever played (I got it at Costco when I was like 8 grouped with a bunch of other games). It scared the hell out of me 😭 The carousel, whenever I died and Paula would yell at me. I was traumatized 😂

I’ve played this game an obscenely embarrassing number of times and I’ve never actually gotten the electrocuted while soldering one! Sounds like the same audio as the other electrocution one, but it’s always cool to find something new in a familiar game!

Paula is a horrible person. Not even asking how Nancy is doing after getting severely injured is disturbing to listen to. She’d bet the kind of boss who wouldn’t let you take time off work even if it was your health on the line 😡

Not to mention some of these second chances are technically her fault. Nancy wouldn’t have fallen off the carousels if Paula had someone put safety belts on the horses. Nancy wouldn’t have overloaded the circuit or electrocuted herself if she didn’t let an amateur detective with little to no mechanical experience attempt repairs.

Paula has different dialogue for the hotel fire game over, depending on if you left the iron on while solving Miles' clue or for no particular reason.

No lie, I actually tried to get the second chance where you overload the circuit during the soldering puzzle. Instead, I ended up solving the puzzle by accident. I’m usually bad at puzzles!

That one's my favorite. So the entire hotel burned down while you just walked to the park, which is right next door to the hotel, somehow without you noticing the smoke or flames. In that same period of time, the world's fastest fire investigation managed to determine the exact source of origin of the fire. (Also, Paula seems mildly annoyed with you instead of furious.)
