I even listened to it nearly daily when serving in the Rhodesian Security Forces 77-80...my personel prayer service

a very moving song telling the story of a very tired soldier in the First World War trenches, similar sentiment to British soldiers and others fighting. Written in 1915, by 1918 of course Argonn Forest was a silent grave yard. Thank you for posting. Eternally moving.
