Don Tosti grew up in the infamous Segundo Barrio where his mother enrolled him in music studies to divert him from the challenges he faced in his neighborhood. His talent for music was evident as he moved to Los Angeles where his recording career blossomed. Tosti's musicianship landed him gigs with big bands playing alongside Bobby Sherwood, Charlie Barnett, Les Brown and Jimmy Dorsey but his real claim to fame was recording a “Pachuco” soundtrack for various LA-based labels like Combo, Taxco, Discos Mexico, and RCA Victor.
