Personally I always found it weird when niggas would say something like " she's too dark " because a lot of the guys who said this often had dark-skinned mothers or sisters or aunties or cousins which speaks to an insidious type of self-hatred but I've had friends who didn't have this outlook on black women so again it's not all of us. As for myself I prefer darker skinned women but it is merely a preference not a rule. I feel like black is beautiful regardless of the shade because there is no ethnicity in this world that can match what a black woman brings to the table culturally or aesthetically but that's just my two cents.
