It's a good one. It's really Kapsberger's variations on a ritornello by Emilio de Cavalieri, for his oratorio Il Rappresentazione di Anima et di Corpo (Representation of the Soul and Body). It was very popular, and was called the Aria del Gran Duca (Aria for the Grand Duke) or Aria di Firenze (Aria of Florence).
