Holy moly... Aria's first birthday is way nicer than any birthday I have ever had in my 20+ years of life! I'm so happy that she has such a loving family ^_^ It was so cool to learn about this Korean tradition too. Happy birthday, beautiful baby girl!!

First of all - happy birthday Aria! I am watching these videos (the whole pregnancy/motherhood playlist) being 23 weeks pregnant with my first child, also a girl. Seeing Aria and her little meltdown, at first I thought she was so cute and smiled a whole bunch but as she had more tears, I totally welled up and started crying, just feeling all of that and imagining how it is to see my own daughter cry.

Wow congratulations! Happy birthday to Aria. Cant believe its a year since she was born (im sure you feel that way the most). Very interesting to see how dol parties are held outside korea and its also very good to see Aria keeping the korean side of tradition in her life. She looked so adorable in hanbok. I noticed how hanbok for dols have changed in terms of colors..30years ago it would be a lot of primary colors and distinct and now its more pastel colors. Congrats i hope she continues to grow in good health and bring more joy to the families❤️❤️

Happy birthday to Aria!!! It was our baby Tony's first birthday too, except our current house renovation took the thunder out of that party, and we just had a small family gathering, sans han-bok & dol-jap-ee to celebrate the Korean side! They sure grow quickly, don't they? Sometimes, it feels like it was just last month when I gave birth to a 6 weeks premie who was under 5 lbs, tiny little thing... and other moments pass and I can't believe he's ONLY 13 months! LOL Time is fickle. I wish Aria has a healthy year 1 ahead of her (as I have hoped for our Tony) and I can't wait to see her grow in the years to come!! Congrats again Jen!

I love this! My cousins are half Korean too, so I grew up with some Korean traditions. Obviously, not all of them because my parents are white as hell. haha. But anyway, my cousin's baby is one in September and we are currently planning everything for her dol and it's so exciting! And seeing Aria'a definitely has me that much more excited. we have a similar tradition for a first birthday in Poland.Our parents leave a holy book (for religion) some money ( hard working) and a shot glass (partying) but we get to choose them all but what matters is in what order we choose them in and that is supposed to show what priorities we will have in the future but your tradiotion has waaayy deeper meaning than mine and thank you for sharing this special day with us :D
