i can absolutely understand her… i lost so much weight only becouse i start leaving healthy, stopped drinking and taking antidepressants started doing workouts and yoga… I’m so happy and so positive. I’m on my best but people assume I’m doing wrong because I lost weight… it’s very very sad because I love myself and I feel beautiful and everything i did throughout my journey, was to help myself to get out of depression, when I finally did that and my appearance also has changed people. When she said “you don’t know what people are going through, they could be working on it and have a support system and working on it with people” I feel like she basically just said that she is aware of her weight loss, that she’s trying to fix it, and everyone bombarding her about it isn’t helping and to give her a break. Which I feel like is so very valid. Of course I understand people’s concerns and because they care they feel that they have to say something just in case she doesn’t have anyone in her life that will bring up those types of concerns. But the bottom line is ya’ll are strangers to her, and a bunch of strangers commenting on her body by the thousands-good or bad-will NEVER lead to the reaction your hoping to get and it will never be helpful. A lot of times you will make it worse. So even though I get why people felt the need to say something the bottom line is you doing so is not helping her, lots of times you will just make people feel more insecure and overwhelmed. So just don’t.

Plus, she never said that her current body was healthy, she only said that her past body-the one that her current is being compared to- was her most unhealthiest in her life. She said to be “gentler” to people, and coupled with the quote I mentioned, to me, it sounded like she was explaining she was trying her best without directly referring to herself. That’s all I was trying to say in my original post. Either way, people need to give the girl a break.

I love how she is continuing to complement people and be nice to people when she’s talking about how she changed, and how people are responding to it. Honestly, she could be yelling at people for continually body shaming her online, but instead she goes on the nicer path of things, and that’s awesome! The best way to stop body shaming? Don’t contribute to a culture of body emphasis. I kinda get it. I remember being really skinny when I was going through the lowest point of my life and now being a little on the bigger side. People look at our older pictures and some even dared to point out I looked healthier or even better there when they have no idea what I was going through. She said she was a vegan and drink antidepressants due to her mental illness.
