If someone you knew just restated a line written by someone else, you would not look at them as a comedic genius for that no matter how good that line was... why should Ariana Grande be looked at any differently? no it's the acting choices and the way they deliver the line that can make them a comedic genius. Take Phil Lewis as Mr Moseby, it's not the writing, it's him. The PRNDL thing is especially funny because of the way he says it.

Lines on a page mean nothing until an actor brings them to life. Her delivery is unique to her. She is the reason they work. She also improvised a heavy amount of Glindas lines and mannerisms

1st of all, words on a page mean nothing without a strong performance with fantastic choices and timing. Secondly, a lot of her Glinda work was improvised. And the things that weren't need good timing in order to come off genuine and not cringe.
