I don't know about "best" mistake, but Ariana's biggest mistake seems to be surrounding herself with inept artists that don't compliment the strength of her own voice. Did she surround herself with pity-hired friends? Why the godawful instrumentations, like trying to watch a sunrise through a blanket of smog? Someone needs to guide her out of that disposable trash and feature her voice exclusively like she and her audience deserve.
