i still come back to this performance years later. the dancers, the choreo, the costumes, the backdrop, and of course her vocals. what a beautiful concept and talented group of people (the performers AND the crew behind it). i'm no voice coach but i love how her voice was darker here (compared to her more light/airy princess-like technique these days). it suited the atmosphere so well. perhaps i'm sensitive but i always get a little teary eyed rewatching this because of the art and how far she'd come in her career at that point in time!

Most people just act like she can't sing. So they assume that she's lipsyncing all the time. It's stupid. I'm not saying that she doesn't here & there, but she still sings & uses her actual voice when performing. I don't see how this would be considered lipsyncing.
