Jason Robert Brown wrote this song (Broadway legend who is playing the piano here) with her, hence the title “Jason’s song” but the song is supposedly about her manager who used to treat her like shit until she fired him and then got more famous and took him back. That’s just the rumor I heard

This may qualify as a jazzy/soul sound... Unfortunately, the best few videos of this performance, constantly get taken down, I'm sure it's NBC and Tonight Show copyright issues... She's absolutely amazing, so much talent. Any of her live performances from the k bye for now album would be good as they have no video should pass copyright easier just being a lyric audio video.
