Remind that this song is at Baby I difficultly level. Just Look Up is slower but very tangled musically and with with a lot of tones. Baby I instead is incredibly fast, 2 key changes if I remember correctly and also a high falsetto. So to sum up yes this is a hard song and even harder live, she did a pretty good job, she was very tired and a bit nervous but we love her btw

Guys we know she sounds tired but that doesn’t mean she can’t sing. We know how outstanding she is. It’s okay that she didn’t get to do her best. It was still amazing and only her first time doing it live. Her performances are always top tier. She’s working on her new album and this was also at almost 11:00 at night and still so chaotic. No one said she is declining. She was just being tired from being overworked on The Voice & making the position album as well as doing vevo performances. The voice reflects on how ur body state is and if she is overworked, she is gonna have off days. 2nd I wouldn’t ever suggest Ariana go on tour again especially after a global pandemic & her being overworked. Sure her best vocals come from a tour but overworking yourself even more can lead to some serious issues like permanently damaging ur voice and ur body

@@rayane3789 @rayane I agree, but I don't think she did it to hit the note, it's sounds intentional. Even in the studio I noticed her belts sounded lighter than on other records. An honestly, the tension didn't really start kicking in till the climax so I don't think she NEEDed the headier mix. Anything before that was just very minor pitch problems and odd breath management/off tempo.

I am kinda worried about Ari's voice, you can hear the slightly shrill in the belting, and some of the high notes are a little flat. This reminds of Mariah in 1998. Also, breathiness in head voice is not a good sign...Ari needs some rest for sure. (she sounds amazing tho)

I wouldn't call it shrill. Her mix sounds more head dominant in this then usual, more specifically on her midbelts. She's also purposely going lighter on those sustained notes notes so it could be mistaken for shrillness. But technically, her mids are really good here.
