It’s because of the record label but also because they shoot two seasons a year. As a viewer you easily forget the final contestants from previous season because there is already a new season. The winner don’t get a lot of attention and exposure from the show or the record label after they have won. That’s at least what I think.

My guess, as a very casual sporadic viewer, is because too much emphasis is placed on the judges. It’s less X contestant won, and more “Kelly’s person won”, or “Blake’s person won.” It’s hard to even remember most of the winners, because the narrative is always on the judges.

Beside of twice shoots every year, the Voice was designed to coach the contestants. It’s like the school of new amazing singer. American Idol designed to create extraordinary singer/singer songwriter who able to sell albums, to give influences in music and to compete with a huge artist outhere. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Tori Kelly, and Jhudson absolutely able to overcome and turned to be great great singers. Even the won Grammy Award. Amazing !

I hope that this show really was for the contestants for a start but its now lost its shine due to the fact that its all about the judges...there are only selected few that got to make albums but that's about it...they should reformat this show and support the budding artists...but hey its a reality show...it sucks!

actually the judges themselves always make sure the show helps and supports the contestants especially blake and kelly so the show still does help out the contestants at the end of the day with the exposure and the coaching they get from musical superstars the main problem that they need to fix is the awful contract deal the winner wins that does nothing for them (adam and blake have spoke about it several times)
