I don't think you know what autotune is and how it works. EVERYONE uses pitch correction (aka what everyone calls "autotune"). It's not because people can't sing, but because it's expensive to do retakes. Even professional Broadway album recordings, which is sort of the olympics of vocalists, use "autotune" to perfect their tracks for public consumption. So yes, even Ariana and Kelly use autotune, but that doesn't mean they cannot sing. Even the best of singers go flat or sharp here and there, and asking them to re-sing the entire phrase of a song is stupid. And yes, Ariana does lipsync on tour. Again, that doesn't mean she can't sing. I'd rather her lip a few G#5s in some shows than for her to lose her voice due to exhaustion. Thinking and saying otherwise despite clear evidence is being 100% delusional. This performance is clearly 100% live (with probably some few post-production smoothing). We know this because a) it's obvious, and b) Ariana made a mistake during the bridge. She sang her high note (G#5) a measure too early, so she had to improvise to complete the climax and gave us a beautiful Eb6.

When Kelly is involved, there is no lip syncing. She always does live vocals. But, if I wasnt such a huge Kelly stan, I would probs most definitely be a little sus too! They are both just so damn talented! 🤯❤

Kelly would NEVER lip sync. Either she’s singing live or not at all. That’s why a couple years ago during the thanksgiving day parade, she performed on the street and not a float. There is zero reason to worry that Kelly would ever lip sync.

actually at 6:57 you can hear Ariana accidentally going too early. It's 3 08 in the Spotify track. She made it less noticeable by hitting a B5 and flipping to Eb6 where she was supposed to hit those G#5's "Santa, baby."

Wonderful reaction. Both these ladies have proven time and time again that they are just as great live as they are recorded. You can even hear the little rasp in Ariana’s voice in this version, which you don’t in the recording. Kelly also once said that she doesn’t record anything(note or run)she won’t be able to reproduce live. After her very much LIVE performance of ‘ My country tis of thee’ in the freezing cold at President Obama’s 2nd inauguration that was it for me. I still go back to that video. Would be great if you reacted to that. Others who sang that day, whom i shall not name were not as brave 👀 lol.

I’m sure someone’s already said it but all I can see is people saying they wouldn’t lipsync. But this was actually the first time they had ever sang this and they hadn’t rehearsed. Kelly talked about it on her talk show.

this is old and people already pointed it out..but i'm sure those two would never lip sync or use autotune especially on those performances..while recording in a studio autotune is a vital tool..it's used by perfectionists(beside those who use it to the point they change their voice) and both Ari and Kelly are perfectionists while in the studio

I won't say neither of them have ever or wouldn't ever lip synch. I will say, they'd have to be singing on a Macy's parade float or something like that. Or be sick beyond belief. And they certainly don't have to here. Its recorded live but not broadcast live. They can do as many takes as they want. Neither of them is above doing three or four takes and picking the best one for broadcast. No good entertainer should be, if presented with that format. Its totally honest.
