This is going to sound crazy to those who don't know but I agree that Ariana is more healed and more herself after being Glinda. For so many reasons as others have identified (the role and what it meant to her, her relationship to Cynthia, the fulfillment of this dream) but also, for those that are unfamiliar with what singing/training our vocal chords does to us and our nervous system, singing is a major way to stimulate our vagus nerve which theoretically and (according to polyvagal theory) is critical to tone up to manage our autonomic nervous system. More anecdotally, I experienced significant traumas during childhood and singing in small choral choir for four years in high school literally changed me - my brain, my hormones, and my weight. I still sing to regulate myself. Singing is a wonderful way to connect to ourselves artistically, emotionally, and literally helps to bring harmony (no pun intended) to us - this is who Ariana is! And I wish I could spend my days singing once again! Brava!

Imagine people bringing up something stupid you did (just like we ALL DID) when YOU were a teenager just to try and get people to hate you…..doesn’t seem like it worked feel too good-or fair-does it…?
