I get that the lyrics might not be unique. but, it's definetly one of her best tracks from this area if we are discussing the production... there's just something very unique about this specific track, and I think that has to do with just how agressive the beat is hitting, which is a rather unusual thing for an ariana grande track...

@@JonasJohansenIngilae Considering how *very* close this is to Breathin'- something tells me she doesn't like it because it's not as voice focused as her other songs. If you zoom over a few albums to Thank u, Next and Positions- most if not all her songs have a motif where the instrumentation is less prominent than her voice- Like a lot of her most noticeable songs are either noise in the background just to complement her clear vocals (borderline), or quiet sounds and reverb behind her voice (No Tears Left To Cry). The fact we're here completely backs that fact. We're here for that amazing, pulsing, almost club EDM beat- not her voice for the most part. It's like the producer stole the light on this song and alongside somewhat uninspired wordplay and chalant vocals. Also this is no-where close to pop, it is much much more pure EDM. Sounds like a background song to a dance game. However I and many others here can agree this was just a shit opinion. c:
