Idk. He shouldn’t be celebrating a loss. He’s throwing himself a celebration party for losing a decision. Conor would literally cry after losing. GSP would hide for weeks out of shame. They expected themselves to be great and were disappointed when they lost. Ian reminds me of Al Iaquinta, celebrating after losing a unanimous decision to Khabib. No one remembers him as one of the greats. No championship mentality.

The greats were not satisfied when they lost. He doesn’t have the Mamba Mentality. He can still be a top contender but unless he has a paradigm shift, he won’t be a champ. He needs to start thinking of himself as the boogeyman, the monster that others should fear. Like Khamzat, Conor, Khabib, JJ, Tom Aspinal. Instead he’s happy he made Shavkat look human.

I agree there should be a penalty more than just docking pay, but say there is a point deduction to start the fight....will the fighter who missed weight then decide to just not take the fight?
