Enjoyed watching the video. Just found your channel I’ve been watching Sam and Moriah and Julia and Cory. Smart to head into town to get out of the rain. You have an amazing smile that lights up your face. It’s so refreshing to see you glowing and so excited about the trail. Be safe and have fun. Back to your videos!

Take care of your knees by making sure you have an orthotic in your shoes that keep you from pronating your feet. The lukotape will help with that too. Roll your feet and legs with a cork ball every night. That can help tremendously. Make sure to use your piles to take the brunt of your body weight when going down hill. Speaking as a hiker with knee issues, these tips will help

Who would have thought that you would be cold and wet in the desert!!! Is the Tramley with you from the start? If so it's great that you can experience this with friends. Nar Nar and Flossy (Kyle Hates Hiking) should be on the Trail soon, so more great hikers. Vlog & Music is a brilliant mix. If you were 200 when you last posted then you will be able to drop these vlogs weekly like 'Heading Somewhere' did last year and keep us entertained until November. Glad the knee has improved. With miles like these this will be over in no time. HRC on the PCT had a mantra of '10 before 10'. But they had a finish date they had to achieve. Are you going inside the Cave? 😳. You got this, good luck!!!

@@ArielleShipe that's a good pace. I plan on doing a thru hike in 2 years after I get out of the military..aso just so I can mentally track . When you do the vlog, would it be possible to say how many miles your doing in that area a day I'd appreciate it

Want knee pain relief? They have these Epsom Salts pads, you pour hot water on them, then wrap around your knee for 10 minutes, add some more hot water.👍

I wish apps like FarOut would stop calling southern California the "desert". Very little of the first several hundred miles is actually real desert. You got into a bit of borderline desert scrub at the 11:00 minute mark near scissors crossing. You'll see some more marginal high desert near Cabazon, and will pass through the very western edge of the Mojave Desert when you're walking the California aqueduct. Otherwise, almost all of southern California, and much of northern California and southern Oregon, is *chaparral*, not desert. That's why there's so much vegetation and more precipitation. You get to see a lot of types of chaparral on this trail, too. For example near Lake Morena and also just north of Paradise Valley Cafe you are walking in Red Shanks-Chamise chaparral. All the type plants are there, especially the defining plant: chamise, which is blooming right now with little miniature white rose flowers.
