✨ Hi guys! ✨ So, it's been a loong while. But I go INTO IT in this video... Things like where I'm at in my life now, what's up with my career path, and why I haven't really posted videos on here the past 3 months. I hope this video makes things clear, and that you understand where I'm at now. Thank you endlessly for your support and love all these years. It's been tons of fun and I learned so much. You guys are seriously so awesome. ♥️

that is sad , i'm sure that a avalanch of tears will flow and turn into rivers of best wishes and support for whatever and wherever the currents and streams of your life propel you....here's a poem that i found very supporting when i was a living the life of a traveller , seeking answers to..'...what's going on!!?..'...round about your age ( 40 years ago)...still asking the same questions , but , not seeking any answers anymore...much easier. Stages By Hermann Hesse As every flower fades and as all youth Departs, so life at every stage, So every virtue, so our grasp of truth, Blooms in its day and may not last forever. Since life may summon us at every age Be ready, heart, for parting, new endeavor, Be ready bravely and without remorse To find new light that old ties cannot give. In all beginnings dwells a magic force For guarding us and helping us to live. Serenely let us move to distant places And let no sentiments of home detain us. The Cosmic Spirit seeks not to restrain us But lifts us stage by stage to wider spaces. If we accept a home of our own making, Familiar habit makes for indolence. We must prepare for parting and leave-taking Or else remain the slaves of permanence. Even the hour of our death may send Us speeding on to fresh and newer spaces, And life may summon us to newer races. So be it, heart: bid farewell without end.

I came for a ukulele lesson a few years ago, but ended up hanging around for the great stories and positive energy. They echoed much of what I experienced while living there. I feel that you will enrich people's lives, no matter which path(s) you take. Don't look upon leaving Europe as a failure, because those experiences living among another culture gives you a more understanding view of the world. Many of us travel, but few have both the time and determination to live among another culture. You probably made a friend or two over there whom will stay connected over the years. And the good thing about music is that it will stay with you forever, no matter how you pay the bills. Play on Ariel.

This is awesome Ariel! I haven’t been the most vocal on this channel, but I resonate with your story. I’m also from Ohio. Columbus, to be specific. During this whole experience and past few months I’ve been in the same boat. I graduated college in May with a degree and work experience that I really wasn’t happy with and had lost all motivation to work in that field. I had been living in a different city for the past four years and really didn’t have a next step. I moved home during Covid and after applying to grad school I happened to get in to masters program in Marketing in Cincinnati! So funny enough also in the marketing field and so far I am loving it. Very happy to hear you found a job especially in a great city like Cleveland! I frequently visited up there throughout the last four years and loved every minute there. Hoping this next step treats you well, and hoping for my own sake my next step also treats me well, because after this crazy year I need it! All the best in future endeavors!

So I don't think I ever commented before, but I ended up subscribing a long time ago. I think you had about 800 subs then? Not like I've you know, watched every video you've ever posted, but once in a while I'd check in. I don't know what I have to say except, all the best. Even outside the KZbin bubble, where people hang onto their 15 with a death grip, it's really special that you recognized when that chapter was over. It's encouraging. I think too many people feel like some "dream" they have is an end goal, and that you stop living when you get there, but like -- people really expect their life not to change after that? So I'm glad you were able to follow your dream, and now you get to follow another one. (And you'll always get to say that you lived as a musician in Madrid for a while.) Anyway, it's been a journey. But like, it's always a journey. If you're interested, there's this poem by C.P. Cavafy called "Ithaka" that fits the mood well. Happy trails.

Hello Ariel, I just wanted to say a few things to you based on the idea that you have decided to do "what's best for you". First, my history with your channel. I'm the type of person that will find something I like and binge till I get tired of it, then I move on. I found a video of your original travels to Spain and then I traveled "with" you for a while. This was long after you had made these videos. I then found myself caught up to you and binging was forced to stop. Then I kind of forgot about you. Over time, every once in a while I would catch a glimpse of something you have done and it made me feel better. I then realized how your journey was something that was almost frightening to me but exciting at the same time. Shipping off to a whole new world and taking it on all by yourself. New language, new country, new everything. I always thought of how strong, confident and courageous you need to be to attempt something like this. It amazes me how much fun you appeared to have while doing it. I believe that's just who you are tho, you appreciate the little things so much. The world is an interesting beast and you tamed it....to a point, even tho you don't really think so. I understand everything you have said in this video about moving forward with more stability and trying to find something that is "more adult", although I don't think that's the right term because striving to be totally independent and finding financial comfort through that independence is probably the most adult thing you could do, but, I get it. I think that moving to the next stage in your life is very important and that, from what I've seen of you, you will excel in anything you strive to accomplish. The trick is to find what it is that is going to keep you wanting to go back for more and keep you pushing to be better and better. I am proud to say that I enjoyed traveling with you. I hope that your beautiful smile, bright eyes and wonderful personality finds me again some day as you have brought joy into my life and I know you have touched a lot of lives along the way. Take care of yourself and continue to do what's best for you, but don't forget life will always be what you bring to it, not what it brings to you.

I loved this video because I feel so relatable. I don't know what the heck I'm doing with my life! I just finished university, I want to travel I want to work I want to meet the love of my life, I feel like I should work abroad but at the same time I don't wanna be far from my family. There's so many possibilities I feel overwhelmed, and that's exactly how you felt. Now, you only want stability and your need job will bring exactly that. Life is weird and it will always be. I hope you enjoy this new chapter, make the most out of it.

Hi Ariel! First comment from me to you and here is goes! I see you and I think you are wonderful! I watched your Havana cover video when I was in a low and lonely place at the beginning of pandemic and ordered a ukulele that night and began playing. From there my 12 yr old cousin started too, and my other aunt who is aunt age haha. We now take family zoom ukulele lessons and it’s a beautiful light in our life. I am so thankful for you!! I also totally wanted to be a famous KZbin girl one day but have had a sullen contemplation for quite the reasons you mentioned in this video - I want to be where the people are! Collaboration! Life!! Real. Life. I don’t know if this is weird and if it is I hope it’s the good kind of weird. But I want to be in your corner in your next season! I know you have a job, but if anything changes I want to recommend you for my company, i know you would excel!! I can train you too. I am a travel nurse recruiter with AMN Healthcare, have been for 6 years. I currently work full time remote, due to pandemic, but I work with people everyday over the phone and I work with a team that collaborates. It’s a perfect blend. If you want to connect, email me! Victorya.Jones@amnhealthcare.com 🌸 either way, I wish you the absolutely best in your next season!

Frankie says, "Relax". Speaking from experience, the end of the single career is gone for the most part. It's exceedingly rare to stay in one career and path your entire life. A cool part of being human, in touch with our consciousness, is the ability to continually reinvent ourselves. You're smart, talented, and wise beyond your years...you'll be just fine. Stay true to yourself. Do what scares you the most. Don't forget what you are passionate about because that is what gives you sustaining life energy. Peace out.

Well, alright. So over the last 2-3 years (yes I followed Ariel when I saw Havana) I got to recognise a lot of myself in Ariel, so much so that I came to prefer her "you, me and tea" videos over the rest of her content (which I absolutely love, but I "absolutelier" love her as a human being). The funny thing is that on the surface we are so much different in the way we express and put ourselves out there, but at the same time we are so much alike in the way we actually think and even more importantly, feel. What is even more funny is that from time to time we had the same things happening to us (notably, I just moved to a different city and started working, while the last 3 months I was also giving bios searching for a job). So yeah, I am gonna miss the hell out of Ariel if only for the "you, me and tea" sessions (her video on therapy and anxiety was so relatable at the time it was shocking). But our girl has to do what she has to do and I hope that it will be enough for her (and for me). With all the love in the world, see you around Ariel

It makes a lot a sense, I totally understand. I think this stability may even help you to be more creative, because you won't be writing music to have something to eat, but just to express your feelings. Meanwhile, I'll be patiently waiting for the eventual next video you decide to upload, it doesn't matter if it will be once in two months or something like this.

TRY IT ALL! The idealogy of having a career or doing the same job for your entire life is so archaic. Anyone that says they have it figured out is either lying, comfortable, or at the peak of what they are currently doing. Just like people, work also has seasons of change. Sometimes its minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years. There is still so much life left in you to be bound to one moment. Kudos to you for having the courage to make the shift and not fake it (like we've seen on YT time and time again) as well as the wisdom to know that it was time. Best wishes on your next endeavor whatever it may be. Remember, YOU are enough and YOU got this! (Stepping off the soapbox now...) Stay blessed.

"Passionate about a lot of things" Yeah me too.😄 I think the middle step in any journey is the hardest, that's the step you could not cross but "Ok fine". But I would like you to tell "I would have loved you to go further". If you had crossed that middle step you would have made it Big. I think that while taking the first step in any journey, you should think "what all can I get from making this journey" and before taking the first step you should plan meticulously about " How am I going to reach the destination; What would be my motivation; What all chalanges would I face;. What is the extent/scope of my goal. By scope I mean how far I am going to go in this path" Ariel I think by " Making a plan and persisting on it" is the only way to make it big(be successful). Please don't take anything I wrote in this comment personally. I love you very much. You have a very nice beautiful aura. You inspire me. Sending love from India🇮🇳🥰♥️

My sons brother from another father went through the same thing. I'll say the same thing to you as I said to him; Life is like planting a beautiful garden. Every bridge you build is there to enjoy when you wander around that part of your garden. Every now and then the bridges may need a little paint or a plant pot or 2. As your garden grows you'll build more bridges and your options will grow with them. Enjoy your garden and take lots of time to stop and enjoy the fruits of your labors. Plant lots of seeds and see what grows and pour a little water on those things that give you a little fruit. Good luck and happiness on your journey.

Sending love and support, 100%. Never saw you as a "youtuber", tbh, but as a remarkably talented creative. The office job, been there and done that, as I also crave stability as an artist, and look to structure to help provide the confidence for me to be creative. It's very hard to be the creator AND the manager, marketer of self, and fiscal manager, too. And yes, it's very lonely. However, at some point, the 9 to 5 job can and will begin to elbow in and take away too much of us to where we can no longer create. So it's a delicate balance. Add to that, any personal/life partner relationships, and it all can be overwhelming and make us feel we're competing for the most important piece of our own lives--our ability to create. Finding that safe refuge, where stability, love, freedom to express, and creative ambitions can all co-exist is not easy, but I sense you possess the courage, integrity, and sensitivity to find it for yourself, starting with this next right step. Cheering you on, always! 😊

Oh Ariel - I know I'm late to the game, but I do hate to see you go... I don't really have the money to support a patreon account, but I can totally support you here by watching all your videos. I would sure love to see you continue doing some of your fun videos.

Funny thing... I think I just knew you watching some ukulele video, few days ago, and I thought, great i like the way she sings, let's follow... 2 days later i see this video😅😅. OK, find your way, enjoy your life and thanks for the video that we (me) can anyway keep on watching 🙂🤟🤟

Good luck, I hope you'll be happy in your life! I haven't seen any other vlog videos, but I've occasionally followed your music, and it was nice to see you getting better and better. I'm finishing college this or next year and going to (hopefully) start my career, but still don't know in which area, it helps to see that someone is somewhat struggling with it as well.(40 job applications, damn..)

This showed up on my YT recommend list. Well, I watched it and then had to watch multiple past performances. Sad to have come to the party too late. What a talent! Here's hoping the music won't stop. 9-5 jobs are for the birds, you'll find out. If you are lonely find other good musicians on the same wavelength and have fun. I am subscribing now. :)

You're correct, most of us do not really know what we're doing. You try this, you try that, you try to find something that will help others and create a career for yourself. We all go through this. I'd like to see you write a song called "The Next Thing" since you said those words yourself. If you don't write it, I will :) I hope your job turns out to be wonderful and something you love. I took 3 years trying to build a voice-over business and eventually had to go back to the stability of employment, because as you may have found out, self-employment is not for everyone. I still take VO gigs as they come up, but I don't pursue that as a career. It's still fun, I do it when I can. KZbin may be like that for you...sounds like that's your plan. I remain a subscriber, since I've been here a while, and I hope you'll chime in sometime when it looks like fun again. Thank you for the excellent videos you've left for us! I love your vocal style. You've developed your talent very, very well. It's been fun! Wishing you the BEST!! Last thing...THANK YOU for not just dropping off the planet but letting your dedicated subscribers know what's happening with you. That was classy.

I don't why, but I'm almost her age, and I feel like I really needed to hear this, someone who's going through the same stuff, thinking about "What do I really want to do in my life?" Wish you success Ariel, you're a great musician and person.

I started to watch you because I started to play ukulele one year ago, and your Havana video was an inspiration as well. The Sheep song is a very good one. You are very talented! But you know what is better for you! Do what you want and what makes you happy! Good luck Ariel!

Oh we will miss your beautiful voice and ukulele playing, but good luck on your next adventure! It takes way more courage to recognize your needs and walk away from something than to stay in it 👏🏼 Also, you look more healthy and refreshed...and eyebrows 👌🏼 haha

Sounds so much like my kids - My oldest son (30) has a degree in food science, became a brewer, decided that he didnt want to do that forever and he is now in Construction Project Management for now and loving it. Life's paths takes you in some very unexpected directions. Enjoy the journey!

Here is the deal Lucille, I was 27 and moving jobs every few years and then found a company near my home city and stayed 25 years.. The benefit working at a business will expose you to all departments like spokes on a wheel. If Sales and Marketing don’t work, operations may work, Customer Service, Inventory Control, Logistics, Manufacturing, all these areas have management and middle manager positions to grow a persons career. Foot in the door is where it starts ... A great philosopher once said, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get” ... That’s all I got... After a while crocodile ... Make like Duck and get the Flock out of here 🐥. P.S. You sing like ANGEL 😍.
