I am a 2 stroke guy, but let's get our facts straight. 2 strokes have a very narrow power band and are best for trail enduro and very tight trails, where you need the climbing traction and less weight to carry. Also they have the advantage of low maintenance cost. For open enduro and faster terrains these 4 strokes are better because you have lots more torque with any gear and any rpm, more speed, and the inertia to turn any obstacle to blitz. Not everything is for everyone. The people who are comparing the two as if they are dragsters or just numbers have no enduro experience. They're the guys that you see on videos trying to start a dirt bike with flip flops or sandals on.

think that is why im going with 4 strokes. its a good all rounder like the 450 or 501 husky. also best for trail hopping when you need to hit highway speeds. Reason I wont get a 2T is I do too much high speed runs where I am going 40 - 60 mph on dirt then these guys do decent on rocky trails and tight trails as well

I'm 23 only 130lb and only road Chinese 230cc as soon as I had the money I got a 2012 500exc and I will never sell this bike it truly is the king of enduro motorcycles every time I ride I can't stop the ear to ear smile

I think both companies are just as good and it boils down to what color you like haha. I just bought a KTM 500 xc-w brand new. I haven't even ridden it yet. I just keep staring at it and smoking my cigar over some Johnny Cash and booz. I have to break it in. I intend on doing vids like Adam but with my own American Style. He has been a huge inspiration for my journalistic dreams and endeavors. Great work "mate"!!

I was wondering if you could give some of your years of knowledge to me in the form of advice? I have not road in 17 years and looking to get back into it and bikes have changed. I am into trail riding and would like to add trial skills into my trail ride to make me an over all better trail rider. Research I have done suggest I get a 250 or 350 cc trail bike and learn to get the max out of that bike and myself and get past any obstacle. I am not sure if the info I am finding is referring to race 4 stroke or trail 4 stroke engines or if they are the same? Years ago I didn't have to maintain 4 strokes like I am hearing today. Now I read that maintaining a 2 stroke is cheaper and easier. Can you shed some light on this for me and help me choose the right bike for what I intend on using it for?

The ktm is a exc or xcw and has pds rear suspension instead of the linkage like the husky, if you watch close the husky seems a little smoother and doesn't kick out as much. like to try a linkage bike soon.
