Ariens IKON 52” zero turn review

I agree with you 100%. The guy that's complaining owns a lawn business.....why is he buying a residential mower? I made a few comments on some of his videos and that old man can be nasty. I have an Ariens Edge 52 and love it. He should have stuck with commercial mowers.

Well let's be honest..alot of these so called lawn "experts" on KZbin are using these mowers as bush hogs and don't have a clue what they are doing. Alot of it isn't machine error, but owner.

We have a 2020 and 21, icon 52" drive belts have been a pain. With 140 hours , started also eating deck belts. No grease fittings for spindles or wheel swivels. My biggest complaint with them.

I’m interested in this mower. Would you recommend? I couldn’t really hear your input. Perhaps turning off the engine while you speak would be helpful.

I would recommend stepping up to an Apex model. For $1000 more you get A LOT better build quality and the deck doesn’t have that annoying cutout in the top of the discharge. If you read some reviews you will see a lot of quality issues because it was a new redesign in ‘23.

I misspoke because I bought my Apex 52 3 years ago for $5500. Now they are closer to $6000 but still you get a lot more extras over the Ikon like serviceable 3100 transaxles, If you’re going to spend $4500+ you might as well spend $6000 and get the highest residential model available. Badboy makes a good one too in that class.

@@jimpark4600 Ariens makes quality stuff and are still a stand alone American company. I’m sure they have addressed any issues that the ‘23 model had.

It is light and the back tires are hard. I don’t think it would handle to well. Maybe the cub cadet that has the steering wheel would be better. The front wheels on that zero turn hold the direction you steer. They don’t just spin like most.

Well, there are other videos out there where people were complaining after 10 hours. I just posted another update. Have over 12 hours now. I also put my old mowing channel in the description area so I’m not new to mowers.
