I wish you all the best, it’s not easy to look after someone ill, diseased verified by a doctor, who, like others expect you to look after him, be there through thick and thin through obligation, the burden of obligation. The voices in your head telling you you married this man, he must have been good once right, fun once, right, a good provider once right, and taking care of him in his final hours of need is your privilege, right? If you were in the same boat he’d return the favour right? But you know now the truth of him, we learn behind closed doors. Mean spirited people are meaner in sickness, they can’t hide any longer from being a drunk or druggie or control freak. The rages the silences. All of it eventually comes out in the body as disease. And spouses expected to care. Society expects the spouse to be at beck and call, like nursemaids. Some people do indeed age well even in sickness others don’t. Their real essence comes out more intensified. I hear you, I understand your bewilderment, expectation and pain about how you’ve lived so long with a man that now is difficult to endure. His death will give you peace. Your sentence ended. Now I know I’ve shocked a lot of people so straight but I’m Aries. My father in my mind committed medical suicide, by that I mean he called to the hospital after many years of ignoring me as he was very sick with cancer, throat cancer to be with my mother to get affairs in order as he put it. He wanted to see my eyes but he tried no comfort. When I left he stopped eating and drinking, was dead 3 days later. Earlier after retirement he had a midlife crisis, sold a very comfortable home, went into a business he had no nouse on, pressured my mother to work night and day in the business at 50, lost everything and they moved to another state, downsized to survive. When he died she was on social services having married him independent financially well off, no longer an executives wife and living where she didn’t like. Through hurt she punished me as I looked like him with awful spiteful things. She too had cancer. And I relocated from a capital city to a region that was tough. I went from a constant corporate job to juggling contract work that was political demanding mentally draining as well as my mother playing mind games, not answering the door or phone at allocates times, dismissing help we hired for her. Needless it was exhausting but I too felt these were my parents, it’s what a child does right? But abuse is abuse. They drank like fish, smoke like chimneys, enjoyed a cushy life for decades, good looking, charming, travelled.but they didn’t like each others family’s, later not really each other and as for me, I was a disappointment. One a narcissist and the other covert ( and a few other relatives). I even married one, just like you mention. He was charming at first. And he got sick and I was always there. And I put it down then to bad luck. He had bad luck re physical illnesses. Years after his death because he got mean as he got sicker and older I didn’t see, his many cancers were a combination of lifestyle habits and character truths not shown to everyone. Smoking caused mouth cancer, drink caused renal cancer, excess food colorectal and liver cancer. Pills only prop up the inevitable but mental strength extends life and mean people get satisfaction in strength, how many ways can I cause pain, chaos to the closest? If you’ve read this you’re exhausted and I’m not trying to trigger or project my experiences. It took me a very long time to get over the combined deaths because we are taught we all have good qualities somewhere as kids. Do good and it shall be returned or you’re cared for or it’s your parents, spouse. But mean people enjoy watching nice people squirm. I’ve learnt that. And a lot of people have a hard time believing in truth, society is not all love and light. Family are not all great protectors or providers. Education can be harsh about the reality of human relationships. There is a book, the body keeps score that talks about emotions get trapped from birth. What our mothers eat but also their emotional wellbeing can impact ours. It goes how someone in life is injured that feels safe will heal, recover. Other people in other incidents don’t. Narcissists don’t care, they control. That’s all they know or want to know and in my opinion begrudge one day through death their memory to you/me gone enough that you wake up one fine day not tired, not exhausted, not answering some bell, body doesn’t hurt from doing too much to make them feel ok. My best advice have a spa day locally, a hot stone massage to relieve tensions (remember the body keeps score, expel negativity) or get a haircut, someone pampers your head, neck for awhile. When the inevitable happens, after the funeral, solicitors, probate, look into a spa wellness centre that you can stay for a week or so. Eat healthy food, swim or sauna, listen to health talks, epsom hot baths, sleep early. Essential oils, nature, healing hands. You may cry, release it. So many people go for so many reasons that’s beyond being self centred. Male or female, coping is good medicine. For awhile don’t think just follow a schedule day up, go to yoga or a walk, breakfast, sit outside join a conversation or listen, massage and oils, eat, sleep. Reduce your own pain, you’ll be surprised how many do the same. Imagine going to a place you’ve always wanted to travel, look into it, if it makes you smile do it. Do ask anyone’s permission, they may mean well but have no idea what you’ve been through. Then go live your life with your children. Just take the time to pamper yourself well beforehand. Walked away before Christmas of last year from Capricorn who ghosted, abandoned me after 5 year relationship and in the 3rd year my calls ignored. I actually chased him. Tammy I just wanted to say I love your messages and I love your dogs. Every time chippy makes me smile so much. I left one post that was a saga re another lady’s grief that I hope doesn’t offend your viewers or you. I debated with myself as I don’t often comment or want to tell people what to do, but handling a partner with longterm illness I’ve had plenty of experience with, expected to deal with, come to terms with and also ghosted many times as though I’m the problem rather than the only support around. It’s funny how so much well loved family have plenty to criticise routines etc but never available to lend a hand. Too busy unless there money. Oops ram straightness!!! Today’s reading you mentioned toxic behaviour. Personally I feel attacked heavily the last month and it’s constant from the time I wake up to nighttime. And often my sleep is not peaceful. I dream stories up about shows I haven’t watched or people who want my garage space and I wake up and think where did that come from? A particular group of people moved in below and my walls, flooring damaged through their air conditioning to the point of freezing. We did have a storm a while back that contributed to water damage but this is far more. And I’ve never said anything but they watch constantly, check my movements or have supporters do their job.Its energetic power plays. I do know my intuition is mostly very high and find myself creeping to avoid noise ( in my own place weird) because they enjoy creating chaos. I don’t actually wish harm on my ex-wife; I just wanted her to realize what I big mistake she made in not putting in the effort to try to work through our difficulties with me rather than quitting the commitment and looking outside the marriage. But I know she’s suffering…and it’s not even related to what she did to me, at least as far as I know. Hi Tammy, I just tuned into you today, July 28. Your energy and gorgeous yellow surrounding drew me in. I'm Aries and that devil energy has been in my life. Unfortunately it is a granddaughter who is 28. Alcohol and substance abuse plays a role in her life. Manipulation of money, lies, stories. I think I know exactly who that is. He has always been jealous that I didn't crumble when he dumped me and have gone on to make it on my own. He has always had money problems of his own making and lives in a lack/poverty mindset and resents everyone else who he perceives as having more than him. He currently owes me several thousand dollars and it seems is determined to never give me another dime. I would love to be free of his negativity and move on. It's always so ugly and the lies are endless. It would be such a relief to be able to move on.
