The manga is better too. The battle with brainwashed Tio felt more desperate than the anime portrayed it. It actually showed how much they struggled against her. In the anime it just looked like they were ganging up on her.

RandomAtics Actually Hajime is significantly stronger than guts and Narufumi well except WN version of Narufumi. But in terms of pure skill Hajime far outclasses those two. In a way Hajime’s classmates betrayal is far worse than what the princess did to Narufumi. Try imaging this a kid with no battle experience special abilities or talents gets dropped into a area where even all of a kingdoms soldiers combined would get killed and even the slightest mistake means death being alone in a environment that’s so dark a normal person wouldn’t be able to see anything and being surrounded by super powered monster with various super powered abilities. All Narufumi had to do was being treated like trash for a month which in all honesty has nothing on what Hajime went through.

You asked me if a single betrayal is worse than a lifetimes betrayal and in a way yes it was when Hajime was betrayed he was forced into a situation where death was around the corner even the weakest monster in the labyrinth is capable of decimating all of a kingdoms soldiers and mages Hajime not only had to work his way through pitch black darkness and ridiculously strong super powered monsters as a kid with no battle experience or skills whatsoever. Sure guts has been betrayed for most of his life but he was a skilled warrior and he’s in a world where darkness and violence is everywhere compared to Hajime who wasn’t exposed to darkness for most of his life I’d say Guts had it slightly easier. Guts has nothing on what Shia Tio and Yue went through though.

I don't understand why people say it's a trash, deep down most of em know they like it. To me personally, the animation quality looks better than SAO's. It's like comparing *Your Name.* w/ *Another World* (I know that examples are not very well suited but make do w/ that, please) Please research enough before watching a show to check if it fits your taste or is what you're looking for and then if it does not meet your expectations then complain (only those who pay for online services like Netflix, Hulu, HIDIVE, Crunchyroll, Funimation, etc. or buy blu-rays, pirates have no right to complain; it's like eating free food off the dumpster and then complaining that it doesn't taste that good lol) otherwise there's no need for that.
