This update is probably the buggiest update to EVER come out for Asphalt 8. And token upgrades are Gameloft plainly saying, "You MUST PAY to succeed in this game!" I am halfway there on my way to getting a vulcan without spending any money but this update seems like it won't let me achieve that... :( the game is sooooo glitchy and crashes and freezes so much on my android now. I can't even navigate the menu.

Strictly speaking, it is possible to play Asphalt 8 sucessfully without in app purchase. I didn't dumped a cent on this damn game and I got some good damn stuff like the Biome and the MP4/31. Gameloft is focusing too much on profit and too little on the actual game itself, which can only have negative results. People play video games because they're fun, and having to spend hundreds of dollars to make progress is just plain stupid, and not fun whatsoever. This is pretty much 'How to Kill a Game 101'. However I hope this can be changed, and I think this petition is a good way to go. Good luck :)

Update 39: the only good thing, mandatory token upgrades have been removed. (Not for pro kits) The bad thing: every car can use credits and fusion coins to upgrade. (Not for pro kits) (stats don’t reset)

It would be great if gameloft made it so after you've done a race once, that can be done as many times as u want afterwards like career or mastery races, that you could pick the number of laps that u do and earn credits times the number of laps that you do (like 6,000 credits per race, times 10 laps equals 60,000 credits) to make farming easier.

What really pisses me off was that whenever I try an event, it usually requires like a certain amount of fuel like 1 or 2 bars of fuel. When I click race, it takes out all 10 bars and I am left with no fuel whatsoever. this game was so much better when it came out at the beginning, but it has gotten worse over time

Ok so, first, my Lamborghini Aventador SV max upgrades were 1513, and then when I updated the game, (I play on mobile) I lost every single upgrade on the car and then the acceleration upgrades changed to tokens only. Are you serious Gameloft!? The only good thing is that Gameloft gave away the Aventador SV away for FREE for the people who lost their upgrades on it. I got it. I was happy I got it but I still wasn’t happy about the bike championship. It’s too late and I already spent 300 tokens on the upgrades. (I’m dumb) and so I realized I should’ve thought through that decision more thoroughly. And then I realized that my Mercedes AMG GT3’s acceleration upgrades were over 700 tokens and only at upgrade 2 on acceleration. I was planning to max pro it, but nope, Gameloft wants to add mandatory token upgrades on some of the best cars and class kings in the game. I’m as pissed as Aris, and I really REALLY hope Gameloft will fix all this.

K i got one solution if gameloft want to keep the mandatory token upgrades, ok here it is when you do a race in any season like season 1 to 8 or 9 and 10 you get tokens every time you race in them but not as much as you would get with the credits. So you get credits and tokens as well when you finish the race.

Here's how Gameloft can fix this: Releasing Asphalt 9 (Paid so no pay 2 win aspects) Removing all token upgrades Making tokens A LOT easier to obtain (How can one get 15,000 tokens without paying a single dime?) Reducing prices for IAPs and slightly increasing the amount you get from IAPs Firing employees to reduce salaries (slower updates)

Right, if I remember correctly, they forced token upgrades for the Kawasaki at four points, and since the amounts were moderate (like 25? and 55? each), it wasn't difficult to max the bike. This handful of tokens can be quickly recovered in the challenges and the regular events, so there's not much need to worry about those. But thinking about how much I already spent on upgrading the Hommage in order to only fail the challenge and never get another chance ever since, OMG, if I ever get this ride and GL reset all the updates 😫, I might start to plan an actual case of murder. 🤔 There is hope, however, as they have started to roll out a hotfix update in order to run scripts for restoring our pre-update stats - so let's give them a few more days...
