Every outing of Tinubu is reduced to unnecessary protocol that should sometimes be skipped on solemn occasions as the event in Borno represents. When are we going to borrow leadership norms from the West or foreign countries in matters relating to humanitarian crises mitigation, responses and intervention brought about by human errors or natural disasters? This calamity is avoidable if the government deploys funds and attention to critical sectors of the economy including the upgrading and maintenance of dams across the country.
