There are empty plots of lands around urban areas that can be used by individuals to farm on a part time basis. Lots of unemployed youths can take advantage and plant yam, corn etc even if it's for personal consumption. We just need to dedicate the time we now have stuck at home, due to high pms price to producing something. No matter how little.

Tinubu is actually the worst ever president to rule Nigeria. 1. The main problem of Nigeria is that we can keep relying on the USD, we cant keep backing our Naira with the USD, the president needs to see how well to back the Naira with GOLD. Overreliance on dollar increases the demand of the USD against our poor nations currency. 2. Every trade in and out of Nigeria has to be in Naira, this will further strengthen the currency as there will be more demand for the Naira. Our problem in Nigeria is bad leadership, all of them have stacks of USD and would rather die to see the value of their stolen USD drop than make policies that would further strengthen the naira, and make living conditions better for the masses. The above as noted i believe if implemented would make Nigeria great again, where one Naira can compete against other known currencies as in the days of old.

1. Gold as a commodity has an international price in USD and hence Naira. Please what do you want to achieve in backing naira with gold. Do you want to start using Gold to pay for imports? Is Gold accepted as an international means of settling imports? If you resort to backing the currency with Gold, are you aware that every naira you have in the country must be redeemable for physical Gold in the CBN? Are you just mentioning the use of a gold standard to make yourself sound smart to people? Your assignment is to go and study the collapse of the Bretton Woods System. 2. How can you mention that every trade in and out should be in Naira? Please how feasible is it to force a shoe supplier in China to accept Naira as payment for shoes to be imported from him. What is the value of Naira to him in his country where he produces shoes? Will he eat the Naira you want to pay him or use it to buy more raw materials for his business in China? Backing the naira with Gold is currently not doable. It's not as if you are a gold producer in large quantities or have so much of it. Even the little you have in zamfara is being mined by bandits. Even BRICS nations haven't been able to use gold to back their currency as at now. Our problem is we can't earn. We don't have that capacity or mindset. We only want to milk our oil and those in charge of the oil steal and steal. Switzerland has no natural resources but have $860bn in foreign reserves and do this by selling services. Services give them over 70% of their forex earnings. So we are just a miserable country run by bandits called politicians.
