Despite reassurances from the Police that they are ready for the off-cycle gubernatorial election in Edo tomorrow, security is still top on the minds of the electorate. We see a potential of the instrumentalisation of violence to undermine and influence the outcome of this election.

Frank Nbab, the former pc of Abuja, that has recently been promoted to DIG, is wike's right hand man, immediately after the promotion, he was deployed directly to Benin to do wike's bidding i suppose or presume,....all APC's actions indicate coup plot against the Pdp, federal might is being used arbitrarily and blatantly....the people's choice is Ighodalo/Ogie candidacy is what the people want and need...REC chairman, police IG, AIG zone 5, recently CDS Army, all in Edo for APC, hoodlums and known killers are roaming the streets of Benin, recently taking over Oredo Lg, no police caution ....common now, but i assure you, the people will resist them if any game is played....

Edo South is LP strong hold and holds 45% of total voters. The current senator is LP, Neda Imasuen is his name. Thugs attacked the LGA because the numbers from Edo South will swallow the entire Esan Central senatorial constituency votes. Why can PDP and APC not play fair? Why? This elections in EDI is a numbers game. If LP run up the votes in Edo South and take 30-40k in Esan Central + 80k in Edo North, they are good to go, but LP MUST top up in Edo South with over 50%. LP must find over 200,000 votes in Edo South or elsewhere, they will loose to PDP. Edo South is the real battle ground & already PDP is moving mad with ballot snatching.
