I was kindly invited to the Malate branch of the Aristocrat Restaurant where I attempted to eat the whole menu. Or rather, the Reyes family tried to feed me the whole menu. Yum and double yum!

I've never been disappointed in your Videos...I'm old, sick with amyloidosis and so helpless but your Videos takes me to several places I've never been and good food that I'm familiar with during my childhood..I usually have no appetite but watching you savor and your adjectives about what you feel reminded me of their tastes and flavors. Your sense of humor is effortless, and even if you eat at poverty stricken places, you carry on with your chic, casual but Calculated wisdom. I wonder about your life before you moved in the philippines..and what are your plans for the future. Whatever it is, I wish you good luck !

Love Aristocrat. The original on Roxas Boulevard is my favourite. First visited in 1980’s and still so good.

I visited the Aristocrat one time, in 2015, during my first visit to Philippines with my Filipina partner, and some good friends. Very memorable experience, and it was fun to watch your nicely done video.... brought back lots of good memories of that first trip. The full-blown HaloHalo experience was quite counterintuitive to me, at that time! I don't care to have legumes with my sweet drink! I will be back in Manila again soon, and we will make a visit to Aristocrat and I will try the banana and macapuno version... that sounded really good! Thanks for another informative, fun-to-watch review. Enjoyed it.

I must thanks the family for spoiling you in their great restaurant. I do go there occasionally when I am in Manila but their lovely hospitality, no matter that it is also marketing, just encapsulates truly the value of what it is to be a Filipino. No doubt, I will be looking to visit the restaurants more in the future. Marshall, I am so glad you're being noticed by the gentlefolk. It's no secret that I admire your vlogs, Marshall. Although what enticed me to your vlogs first were your visits to restaurants/eateries in the "off beaten paths", I've also come to like your visits to well-known restaurants as well, such as the Aristocrat. I have some of my fondest memories there as we would frequent the place with my buddies for their chicken barbecue & java rice and sotanghon soup. (And I love their fresh lumpia too!) That was back when I was much younger. That usually happens after our night outs when we'd have downed a bottle of beer or two (or three or...) in some cozy bar. I'll surely visit one of their branches again after I've gotten my booster shot. I'm also planning to visit some of those other places that you've gone to - those places that I haven't been to just yet...I'm also much delighted to see a lot of Filipinos extend much friendship and generosity to you in your travels. Kudos to them as well...As always, mate, keep your vlogs coming and keep safe!

Looks awesome. Over the years I dined with older friends here in California who were from the Philippines. Have had maybe 20 different dishes over the years from them. Very hospitable. The older ones have since passed away. I miss them and miss their authentic Filpino meals. Your video made it that much worse. Yum. 4:33pm my time. Now I'm crazy hungry for something good. Too bad you aren't in my community! I'd run right over! Oh. The only meal I didn't care for was a dish made with a white sauce and bitter melon. Can't recall the name. Glad I tried it bc was unique but am OK if never again. Everything else was off the charts awesome. Seriously hungry now. You just sold 15,854 plane tickets to the Philippines am hoping to be one of them :)

Especially with how you now skimp on the peanut sauce.. yung chicken is obviously boiled first now before getting grilled. the chicken before is much more tasty than now. but the way you skimp on the sauce, it's really disrespectful to the customers.

I grew up in the 70’s into the 80’s in Manila and back then Aristocrat was one of the places to go. It’s quite nostalgic watching your vid - The pancit canton, the bbq on the skewer with the Java rice (I believe) with a side of “must have” atsara and the less known to foreigners fresh lumpia. I want to say we used to always have their chicken as well. Thank you for sharing.
