Please don't ever lose heart. Depression is brutal. It is a very real and vicious illness and don't ever let anyone take that away from you. Chester was a beautiful soul that touched millions of people across the globe and we will forever cherish his memory and WILL see him smiling someday Please remember that you are not alone, and there are so many ppl who value you very much so do speak to someone if you feel hopeless or can’t see a way forward. Remember that there are so many ppl that love you and want to be there for you, but you need to talk to them and always remember my words “HAD I KNOWN.. I would have stood in your doorway and held you tight and begged you to stay” Keep that head held high. Stay strong. You are beautiful and your life is valuable.

My partner died on 30th Dec 2018 with an overdose I found him lying next to me when I woke the memories of the person never leaves and the love I have for him will never change. It's the same with Chester for his family and friends but also all his fans as we all had so much love for him as he had so much to give. Yes brilliant song and video it's the first song I listen to every morning when I get up. Just beautiful .

@@ARIYAH Thanks for asking, that's so sweet of you ❤️ I'm bipolar and having a pretty bad depression right now. I've been bipolar for 25 years (I'm 34) so I'm aware that the darkness will go away eventually, but the disorder never will and that's bringing me down. I got my diagnosis when I was 29 so I wasn't medicated the first 20 years, my only medicine was Chester and that's why I'm here watching this. He has probably saved my life 40-50 times through the years, and he will probably do it this time as well. So once again, thank you for honoring my hero ❤️

@@Rudan23 Hi Hakan, thank you for your message and honesty. Did anyone ever tell you that bipolarity is a form of genius? It is your mind working at a super sonic speed; faster than any average person. The key to bipolarity is to keep your mind busy, so busy that you use up that excess energy and don't go to the extreme other polar, depression. Find a lot of mental hobbies, work, passions and do them. Keep the energy in your mind in check. It's kind of like someone with a high physical energy running everyday to balance out that excess. Also, in your position, exercise is a live or die situation. Cardio. Please try to find a form of cardio that you enjoy and do it every single day for an hour at least. Dancing, running, tennis, football.. anything. Try it for just one week and let me know if it changes anything for you. The key to any mental struggles is healthy eating, healthy sleeping and cardio. Get that heart working and get those endorphins pumping. And put that special mind to good use. Find your genius. I hope this helps and I truly hope that the darkness lifts now and forever. Once you know how to manage bipolarity, you master managing it forever. All the best my darling. Keep your chin up and your head held high. You're gonna be great. Love, A❤️

@@ARIYAH No, that one I hadn't heard before! But yeah, mine brain was truly amazing once upon a time but after all unmedicated hypomanias (I'm type 2) and depressions my brain is clearly not that amazing anymore. You are totally right about working out and everything else you wrote, but Bipolar ain't my only diagnosis since I also dealing with Asperger, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Morbus Crohn. Unfortunately all of them in combination leaves no energy to workout, at least not as long as I have a work to manage aswell. I have searched for that magical balance for all of my life but no matter how hard I try, I always end up in a mental breakdown. This time was a personal record with almost 3 years without any serve depression (not saying that I've been well those years) but in the end I find myself in completely darkness once again. All those failures and disappointments makes it really hard to find the motivation to get up and try once again. That hopeless feeling have almost become a depression of it's own, that sticks with me even in my hypomanic episodes. So yeah, I'm here and I'm trying my best but I'm also really close to that edge where I just give up. Thanks for your uplifting words! I appreciate it ❤️

@@Rudan23 Hi Hakan, thank you for your message. You're brain is still amazing and will always be amazing. It may be going through challenges, but that does not make it any less amazing. Remember to practice self love. Don't talk down to yourself. When the whole world is hard you, don't add to the problem by being hard on yourself. How do you expect others to be kind to you if you can't even be kind to yourself? Look, you need to understand and accept that this is your journey in life and these are a set of challenges put in your way, that you have to fight through. Why? Because there is a lesson in everything, and the sooner you understand the lesson, the easier it all becomes. And until you find that lesson and understand it, you will be stuck in the same spnning wheel of pain and questions forever. And unfortunately you're being faced with very very difficult challenges, no one can deny this, but this is your life story and you need to accept it and love it and love yourself for it, keep fighting and persevering every single day, because you're a hero and that's what hero's are made of. It's ok to feel exhausted sometimes. Life is hard so cut yourself a break. Even hero's break sometimes, but what makes them different is their refusal to stay down, and I can see a fighter in you; someone who no matter how many times life throws cabbages at, will get back up and try again. Does that not make you a warrior? Walking around wearing your battle scars with pride? Fighting that fight every single day and refusing to give up? That's you my friend. So start seeing yourself for the beautiful person that you are, because you are beautiful in all your pain and all your complexities. It's ok to lose hope sometimes, we all do. Life was never meant to be easy, but it's also a privilege to be alive that so many other dont have; a privilege so many others pray for every single day when you come to think of it. Just one more day they begg. Time. They just need more time. I know that life gets really heavy sometimes and weighs you down where you feel like you can't get up or be motivated to do anything. But hope is the most important element in life. In fact, there is no life with out hope. Once you change your perspective and begin to accept your challenges as a part of who you are and work with them instead of through them as though they were a problem, things will get easier. Life is a mind set. Look at Stephen Hawking, it was perspective that kept him alive. Try to exercise. It really does help. Cut all stimulants and depressants like drugs and alcohol even caffeine. Keep yourself in the most balanced state at all times, no ups and no down. Healthy food and healthy sleep. It really makes a difference. I hope you find the light that illuminates your path and wish you healing. I pray that things get better for you really soon. All my love, A ❤️

if he hadn't ever talked about his struggles, nobody would have known that he had such a severe depression. He was always smiling and being funny. But I think that we have to check in with these type of people. It doesn't mean that they are happy and have no issues, it sadly means that they need to cheer themselves up cuz nobody and nothing else do. This is also coming from a personal experience. Years later, when I said even the slightest of my then thoughts, it is hard for the people that are closest to me to believe it. But I chose and now am choosing not to say anything about it. Maybe nobody will ever know what I went through. But now I decided to leave my comfort zone and tell a little bit about it just for the people out there. You are not alone! And things do get better! Believe me. btw the song is just beatifully written. It speaks Chester and all the people struggling rn. Thank you 🤍

Thank you so much for your beautiful words and I apologise for my late reply. I'm really happy that you found your way and that you're feeling better, happier. I think of depression like the monster hiding under your bed and you never know when it's going to sneak out to try and get you, so you always have that subconscious fear that one day it might because you know that it's always lingering. It's important that you take steps every single day to make sure it can never come out and get you ever again. I always tell my ppl, "cardio cardio cardio", to boost that serotonin. I wish you all the best. Always be safe and happy. 💞 A

Jen Woolf I'm so sorry about the loss of your father Jen and the pain you are still going through. Losing a parent is one of the most difficult losses we have to face in life along with the pain of losing a child. Death is unfortunately inconsolable. There are never any words of wisdom anyone can say to you that can ease the pain. The only way through it time really and the will to carry on. Your father was obviously a wonderful man and raised you to be a beautiful loving woman. Please remember that he worked hard everyday to make sure you are happy, and it would pain him right now to look down from heaven and find you in pain. It is very important for him to see you happy every single day so don't break his heart by being sad. Trust in God's judgment as hard as it is to understand it and thank him that you were blessed with such a wonderful parent, rather than a. Ralph one for a long time. Make your father proud by being happy and making the best out of the life he would have wanted for you. He will always be immortal as his picture is imprinted in your heart and in the memories which you will keep alive every time you speak of him. Don't think that by releasing yourself of that pain, that you will ever be letting him go or would loving him any less. Love and miss him in a way that you can remember him without letting the sadness take over you. It will always pinch a little but you need to be able to be strong enough to think of him without being heartbroken. That's the best kind of love and best you can do for him since he pains every time he sees you in pain. That's definitely not what he would have wished for you. Pls remember that. I think you are right about today's world. It's beginning to lack kindness and compassion and fighting to move forward has become a daily battle for most ppl but do remember that there are still plenty of wonderful ppl in the world who do so much good even if it's done in secret. Had the world been completely rid of good ppl, it would have ended by now trust me. There is so much goodness around you. Just surround yourself with positive, kind, loving and non-judgmental ppl and they will lift you up with them. Let go of the drama, release yourself of pain and make the best out of this little time you have been blessed with to enjoy a journey which you have been specifically chosen to experience. You're going to be great :-) I wish you all the happiness in the world 🙏🏼❤️

When he left this world. He took a big part of my heart with him. I have not been the same since July 20, 2017 and I’m not sure if I ever will. I’m trying very hard to heal from it knowing I named my son in honor of him but I still hurt.
@ARIYAH5 жыл бұрын
amazingnothingness I'm truly sorry you're hurting. Chester's loss was definitely felt by the entire world and created a massive movement bringing awareness on a very important topic everyone has been completely oblivious to; depression kills; and and for the first time, the world started to listen, and to truly understand that mental illness is a real illness. Chester did this, and is still saving so many lives every day. He is not gone. He lives amongst us everyday in spirit.
@amazingnothingness5 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, that is incorrect. Mental health is still being ignored. Not too many psychiatrists in the Pittsburgh area and not too many therapists that really give a damn. If people are walking in circles suffering, it’s because they are ashamed to talk to their loved ones or family members for fear of being judged or told to tighten your boot straps and toughen up. It’s still being treated as a stigma.
@ARIYAH5 жыл бұрын
amazingnothingness , I'm not saying the system is perfect, far from actually and yes we do have a long way to go. But you stating that it is not improving is also not at all correct. Awareness and acceptance is much greater now and more importantly, many ppl are now taking mental health as a serious illness, and there was a very big movement after the passing of Chez. We still have milestones to cover obviously and I agree that there is still a massive stigma against mental health issues, but we are also progressing in many ways if even slightly; people's perceptions, government funding, in some countries companies take their employees mental health seriously, coping methods and medicine.. I'm sorry you're not finding the help you need where you are. I wish there was some sort of comfort I can give you. Depression is an illness and not a state of mind as many would try to tell you to "be more positive" or yes, "toughen up". My best advice as I've said to another commentator on this song is to get into real hard core exercising. It really does help. Even fun exercising like Zumba and dancing. After that, just when the depression starts to lift a little and you're out of the "core of the storm" start pushing yourself to slowly go and see friends again and most importantly, you must keep yourself busy. Find any hobby. Or even create one as silly as collecting stamps and going on a hunt for them or anything else that might excite you and really keep you busy so you don't have free time to think. It's hard, but there are ways to manipulate it. Eating habits are also very important. Focusing on cutting out all simple carbs and sugar products. Sleep patterns are also very important, getting enough sleep and more importantly, sleeping and waking up at similar times every day. Although I know everything I say may sound "blah" to you, I really hope you find your way and the strength and will to defeat this. Your life is so important no matter what yourself tries to tell you. Give my advice a shot. What have you got to lose? ❤️ A

But fortunately life still goes on for the ones who are left behind, and we all need to learn how to love and laugh again after we lose someone. The memory of this person will live in our hearts and minds forever and laughing again doesn't mean that they have been forgotten just as dying with them doesn't mean you love them more either. It's ok to miss someone you've lost very dearly, it's ok that it continues to hurt, and it's ok to move on and find happiness. We must give ourselves the permission to go on.

Still love listening to this as I lost to suicide and been there take care of each other and never let anyone make you feel like the world is better without you my husband would of thought that but believe me he didn’t relise how much he was loved and you mean something to someone even if it someone you haven’t met yet every one deserves to be happy and loved

Someone is crying a river here. 😢 To be honest... I was contemplating suicide before I watch this. Well Chester, wait please some extra time... I decided to live another day. See ya in heaven. ❤ Thank you for this. You are making Chester proud. (If I could take you the bottle of alcohol, I would. If I could stop you, I would. If I could make you come to life, I would. And if I could not... I would die right beside you. Just let me return...) 💔

Im sorry I missed your message Spirit Soldier. Thank you for your beautiul words and for your support on the song. It means the world to me. Please dont ever feel that ending your life will make anything better. Although it doesn't seem like it when you are in the worst of your depression, but your life is SO valuable. When hope feels very small, always remember that you were put here on this earth for a reason and although you might not know what this reason is right now, I promise you, one day it will all make sense, and even if it doesn't, it shouldn't even matter. You are so beautiful and much stronger than to throw yourself away. Life is a journey not many get a chance to experience. You were chosen out of all these millions of little sperms to come to this planet and to do you. So do you. Hold your head high, believe in yourself, take a deep breath and go out there and be the beautiful you that you are. Let all the bad experiences go fuck themselves because you are unbeatable and you are indistructable. Take care of yourself Soldier and keep fighting your battle until the end. Make Chester proud.

I Wrote this song lyrics for you chester here it go' I miss you so much i wish u wear here with us. When you passaway I feel the pain inside me like i wanna be left alone in the dark The pain was killing me it's like I lost a bestfriend. I'm sorry i couldn't be there for you like you always be their for your fans. Your music really help me coping with life when life can be hard sometime when you're not around.. You don't deserve this depression feeling coming and going. When I saw you on youtube you seem to be happy but you was in pain. I understand that feeling. just remember that you're not alone they're other people like you . I wish you could stick to help. I wish i was their to save you and give you a hug and tell you everything going to be ok and that i need you the most. I miss you so much it pains me to see you're no longer here with us. I miss your voice I miss your laugh your smile I miss you when you perform. I miss everything about you. I miss your voice the way you scream like a demond and sing like an angel. It feels so weird not having u around anymore. I just wish i could go back in time and save you from this pain.

@David-gv1fm It's hard to lose people who we love, even if it's someone who's an idol who we don't really know. But death is a part of life unfortunately that we need to find a way to accept, and the memory of the ones we love, will always live on in our hearts.
