It is nice to see people taking an interest in getting kids involved in outdoor activities. The Yuma Valley Rod and Gun club holds many of these kids activities in our surrounding communities

You know Jeff, I was brought up at 48th St. and Culver, which is just south of McDowell in the 60s and 70s. I used to go to Papago park all the time kept me out of trouble. My mom was a single mom taking care of me and my sister, she did her best. She would always take me fishing though. I really just wish there had been organizations and people like you and your brother to put on fishing tournaments in those days. Those kids are going to have something to be proud of and to remember the rest of their life. All because of a bunch of good hearted people. Which the world could use a whole lot more of you like them.❤
