Arizona Senate advances measure to let police make border-crossing arrests

The Arizona Senate approved a proposed ballot measure that would ask voters in November to make it a state crime for noncitizens to enter the state through Mexico at any location other than a port of entry.

State Senator Wadsack says that the border is the number one issue everywhere. While that may be true for the voters of her state, it's NOT what everyone else is worried about. We're concerned about inflation, jobs, taxes, Gaza, Ukraine, and more. The border is a problem, but we're workin on it.

Yes. According to the Constitution, immigration is the purview or the Federal government. Any attempt by local officials to take on that responsibility is unconstitutional. The Feds can request officers from the state if needed, but may not hand off the responsibility of the border.

Trauma bonding is a psychological connection that develops between a person and an abuser through a cycle of abuse and positive reinforcement. Some signs of trauma bonding include: Justifying or defending the abuse Agreeing with the abuser's reasons for treating them badly Covering for the abuser Arguing with or distancing themselves from people trying to help Becoming defensive or hostile if someone intervenes Being reluctant to leave the abusive situatioYes, people who join cults or extremist groups can experience trauma bonding with their leaders or other members. Trauma bonding can occur in any situation where one person exploits or abuses another, including cults, religious extremism, domestic abuse, child abuse, and moreTrauma bonding can happen in any dynamic with a power imbalance, including romantic relationships, platonic friendships, and parent-child relationships. In a trauma bond, the victim may feel controlled and unable to resist or break free. The abuser may use a manipulation tactic called "love bombing" to create an intense emotional connection with the victim, then slowly withdraw rewards to keep the victim emotionally attached. This creates a cycle of abuse and reward that can be addictive.
