I have been a Texas fan for 60+ years...I never loved the Big 12, but I wish them well now and think they will be a better conference for Texas/OU leaving and bringing on these new schools. No - they will not make the money, but these expansions offer Texas schools a great deal ... being retired I look forward to seeing Big 12 games in these new venues...

I've followed college football since the mid 1960s. Ohio State and Michigan owned the Big 10 then as did Alabama and Georgia own the SEC then. Those schools still dominate their conferences no matter how many doormats they've added to their conferences. And now Texas and Oklahoma will become the SEC's next doormats.

The Big 12 Conference Partners never liked the University of Texas. Glad to see UT leave the conference. Can't wait until UT asks for more than equal share of conference payouts when they are losing & in the bottom half of the SEC.

Nothing wrong with that. I'd bounce from a job for more money and better benefits. I did that three months ago. Better culture, better experience, and better overall.

Well, the Pac12 conference was also breaking down from bad media contracts.
@AkodoKusamoto Жыл бұрын
The Pac 12 just imploded in front of our eyes due to greed and mismanagement. 108 years of tradition gone because of terrible management. I don't blame Robbins at al one bit for grabbing a lifeboat to escape the Titanic and taking ASU, CO, and Utah with them.

woah - well ... this came out of the blue ... and red. I think it should go to court because these are public institutions. What are they messing with this for? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Remember that one? So if there's a pool of monies, and there is, why is more in a conference better? Now, you've diluted viewership. It's foolishness, IMO. Back the Cats to put this all back together ... you know ... the way it used ta' be.

@@jameswaters3939 because of money... literally money has prevented the PAC 12 from existing. They couldnt get the funding to keep these institutions going this way. The PAC 12 didnt have the right business people or model to stay alive. The conference killed itself.
