I enjoy how you share your observations of nature during your hikes. Other hikers tend to skip a lot of these treasures in their videos. Thanks, Jay!

It was either 2007 or 2008 President's Day holiday weekend when I took my teenage son and his gf to the East unit of Saguaro NP for a 3 day backpacking trip. Started out nice but then it snowed like 8 inches on us the first night! Fortunately it cleared up the next day. I also love those Spam packets because I'm on the keto diet and they are one of my staples. Yeah, you need two a day.

OK the deflating of the air mattress was one of the funniest hiking videos I’ve seen. Lol. Jay you have fun subtle sense of humor. Really enjoy your videos.

Beautiful hike! Wonderful photography- it’s like going with you. I love it. I also love that you enjoy yourself and appreciate your surroundings. Some thru hike bloggers don’t seem to be having fun, thought it is obviously not easy to do these long trails.

Hey Jay - nice videos! Thanks for your detailed doku of your AZT Thru Hike. I want to start next week, but the Covid-19 Pandemie puts all my plans into the trash - sh....t. So I hope to start in March 2022. Enjoy every minute on the AZT in that awesome nature. I’ll walk with you on KZbin. Greetings from Berlin/Germany!

Hello Jay, it is great to see you again. I'm recovering from a recent stroke. Watching your video is a great inspiration to me. I hope to get out on the trails again soon. The very best to you, my friend for your good health and safety. 🤗

A deflating air mattress is, at once, a miserable and wonderful sound.

Cool cool beans. Seguro Natl'l Park was my fave, great shots. Love this video and by the way That water sound view the water bottle will make a pretty cool water sounds sleeping video for hiker trash. Smiley face

Dear Jay, thanks again for your video’s. I have two questions; did you already make a gear video on what you are carrying, and could you explain when you use your phone and when the camera to shoot your video’s? Thanks

I never got to the gear video. I'll make one post trail. I most often use my Samsung S21 5G and if I want more zoom or stereo audio I use my Sony a6600.

Some of those big saguaros could be 300 years old. You were walking amongst elders.

Saguaro’s are neat. I am curious how they tap into the ground. Do the use those xylem like tubes for pulling water from way down deep in the gtound , what you call Rebar? and how deep do they go? Metal High Hurtles in the camp ground, boy that’s hardcore. I was wondering if the newer DJI mini would work better for workflow, weight and size is better and you can fly with smart phone. It has less avoidance and bit lower res and is contrasty’er so hard to hit exposers well. Congratulations on the the ground school test.

The Saguaro root system is extensive and mostly shallow not deep.

The worst sound a hiker can hear is a mat deflating in the morning.
