Muy buen material. Sería interesante contar con una versión traducida al español para compartirlo más en Colombia.

Inner leg set in the middle for ease of adjustability? any reason besides that?

Hi T Miller, Great question! It also allows a winch to be mounted using the holes on the inner leg as an anchoring point. Hope this helps!

Did Cmc start selling the vortex with 2 more outer leg sections? Last time I checked, the vortex was only sold with 3 inner and 7 outer leg sections. This video might be misleading. Also, the legs are strongest with the inner leg on either end. Although it's most convenient to have the inner leg in the middle, it is significantly weaker in that configuration.

Hi and thank you for your comment! In the video, two additional outer legs used in the video for 9 total. To address the configuration shown in the video, a typical tripod configuration would feature having the outer legs at the bottom of the assembly and the inner legs at the top (connected to the head assembly). It is in this manner that the AZV is certified to meet the performance requirements of NFPA 1983 as shown on page 16 of the users’ manual. CMC recognizes that the AZV is extremely versatile and can be rigged in numerous configurations, however it is not practical to certify the AZV for all of them. Safe operation of the AZV is more dependent on exercising proper rigging (i.e. correctly analyzing resultant forces and proper guying) than the physical structural of various leg configurations.

I agree, this video actually confused me more based on my teachings by how many legs they used, along with the order of the legs. Kind of annoying. Should be re made to match product manual.
