What if the 3rd candle of the fair value gap was a long wick rejection from another fair value gap but doesn’t close up to 50% of the expansion candle of the fair value gap in creation, sorry I hope my question isn’t confusing 😅

Good question. I would wait for another candle which should support that rejection which can potentially form a FVG towards counter PD array.

I am currently working on the case study and I am having difficulty in differentiating the perfect consolidation 3rd candle FVG vs the bad rejection 3rd candle FVG. I often doubt which one of the two it is when I see it. Because more often than not the real life situation is not text book. Could we include a mechinical rule to support in finding the difference, just like we have for the BAG with the 'if the third candle closes above the high of the second'? The bad rejection 3rd candle FVG covers up most of the forming FVG leaving a much smaller FVG than what it potentially could have been.

Choose what to want to trade, I personally trade fvg only, you can take the Ob that follows FVG. Your trading has to be consistent. Don't trade fvg and tomorrow trade Obs
