Parham does not need to go for comolications when his position is superior, just simple chess by Parham would win. Like Paul Morphy, Parham sometimes plays for the audience by trying to make brilliancies which can backfire

at 4:29 wasn't knight a6 a threat of trapping the Queen and hence the move that Parham chose? Yes, he could have taken c6 pawn if Na6 but maybe a long term threat? Nvm that's high level stuff and also I dont think there was any way to protect the c6 pawn ...
