Tips; use a trap it is much easier 4 by 4 foundation 2 door ways high flat roof optional , but you go inside the trap, not the yi ling when he dives and hit the trap throw out the plant species z pod it will stun him then you knock it out .

I learned that a higher effectiveness narcotic actually works with taming the yi Ling, I was able to knock out a high level one with just one narcotic

Honestly the yi ling in my opinion is stupid cool concept but I would have liked to see the giant walking owl we already have a raptor that shoots quills and climbing creatures are overused now
