Nah, man, the crossbow is easily S-tier. It's the most versatile weapon in the game. It has decent damage, you can craft ammo on the go, pull out arrows from corpses, use tranq arrows with it, grappling hook, and even works underwater

Personally believe the harpoon gun is a tier, since tranq bolts are the best way to knock out umderwater creatures, even though the crossbow can do this, i prefer the harpoon gun

My only gripe about the Tek rifle in ASA vs in ASE is the optic is darker and fuzzier, it's hard to use it and spot targets while on console. I feel the scope has been overly detailed with too many special effects and made it difficult to look through. Hell the Tek binoculars and Tek helmet (when activated on all settings) is way easier to view than that rifle.

There is hardly a reason to do a tier list of anything in a game that literally has you collect progressively harder and better resources to then make even better materials or components...other than maybe a bow or a gun or 2...things made with thatch and fiber are worse than wood than metal, than tek...primitive weapons are worse than non primitive weapons...good video, good info, don't stop doing it, just think about whether the need/want for the info is there..

Dude he’s rating them on how effective they are for their tier. Notice how he ranked the fabricated pistol lower than the crossbow. Fabricated pistol may be higher tier, but the crossbow is far superior

You get a bola as a beach bob and its fantastic for the entire rest of the game, same goes with longneck and crossbow All punch well above their weight

It basically tells you what’s worth your time/resources as you progress through the game. No one’s debating that the assault rifle is “better” than the bola, but for its tier/cost, the bola is more valuable.
