Troodons sometimes just knock you out for funsies, I swear. I got knocked out several times by them in the early game at night, but they didn't kill me most of the time, they just danced around my unconscious body.

There's one big thing you missed. Try riding with a pack of them, they share exp and are absolutely amazing help to lvl things up

Well o well i shot preemtively at a dino i thought was a pego and suddenly a pack of troodons came outa woodwork and chomped me 😍🥰 my thyla was literally ten meters away but before i notice my mistake and oder attack my traget i was unconsious😘😍 lost an 60 odder and a set of flack for that

Yeah, I was taming a Tryke and a group of Troodons attacked me. It was doing very minimal damage to me but it kept me knocked out. Until my tame woke up and ganked the one hitting me

When I started ark I saw a carnivore with glowing eyes in the water I thought it was a dilophosaurus Then I went to attack it and It jumped right into my face And knocked me out instantly But at least I won the fight I'm terrified of them now 😆

Nice video Phlinger. I think the only reason I could find for me to tame a troodon is their kibble is currently used to tame Equus. I have rockcarrots growing in my base so really no need. And, with kibble changes getting closer, that kibble might be changing as well.

Love your vids Mr Phlinger! Absolute gold and you sir, are a legend!. Don't think this was mentioned in the vid but perhaps- you will need to turn PVE mode off so Cryo sickness happens. Otherwise you don't get the debuff and no sleepy times for your dino to get munched on (sweet dreams? I... guess? lol). I finally decided to bite the bullet and tame one of these annoying pests today and so I turned off the PVE setting, popped a rex in a cryo then popped it out again in a taming pen... and somehow while the rex was asleep it ATE the Troodon that was attacking it. I mean, I've heard of fridge raiding at 1am but not a rex eating a troodon while unconscious. Soooo umm yeh, that was a new one for me. lol Has anyone else ever seen this or is my rex kinda special? lol

They should allow these guys to be transferred into Aberration. Phlinger can you bring them to Aberration with the cryopod or fertilized egg? I heard you were able to bring eggs for a while not sure if it was patched. My goal is to have an imprinted pack of Megalosaurs and Troodons to dominate the non-radioactive zones.

No, the torpor effect only applies to players. Dinos only get stamina loss from their bites

me and my friend found a nice comfy place to build a base on a little island, and there is like a 4 meters deep river between the island and the mainland were you can just swim over, well on the other side there spawns a level 22 skelleton alpha carno and it starts killing everything, me and my friend had an idea to move a little bit further away on the mainland and we start on the base then a pack of 5 trodons come wrecking us

Well on my second night on the island on the iconic beack with official settings there was a foggy night and when i went to dink form the gulf and then a couple of those yellow eyed monstrocities jumped qt me from nowhere i managed to killem with my spears and after that i never saw them at nights again and i think you can guess why🥰🤭

The only main reason I mount dinos in my expeditions is because of the troodon torpor, if it weren't by that I would just go around taming or running from things

Playing for a month and you're only lvl 50? That's scary. Without changing EXP multipliers at all it takes me about 4 or 5 hrs of playtime to hit lvl 50. I usually turn DOWN the exp. Multipliers until after I hit lvl 50 or so. I don't play official anymore but even then the exp. Is the same as I play with, shouldn't be hard to hit lvl 50.

I do alot of night hunting. I lead a pack of troodons(5) on top of a megalasaurus. I'm not a fan of gigas so I have no problem sacrificing them. I have 1 troodon maxed out on scouting the other 4 are melee built

I guess that method would work on you for sure by standing on top of your dino and you consuming it. Not sure how it would work out if you can force your dino to consume it. Haven't tried it yet.

Alright hear me out, breed like 20 of these, breed megas for you and your tribe members, throw on night vision goggles, 5 troodons on follow for each mega, become of swarm of glowing yellow eyed death in the night and raid enemy tribes, you got picks, stupid high damage speed and health, the torpor attacks and stam attacks. If they aren't on fliers then I doubt they could do much.

They can be. The only requirement is that you feed it tames. You can knock out Dodos with your fists. Do the math.

I had the same problem once upon a time. Once you know what they are though they're insanely easy to avoid. They're extremely rare except in the redwoods, and they're honestly the least of your worries in the redwoods.

@@dillongage They spawned on the third day right next to my spawn point outside my base and caught me by surprise….i am as new as a player can get, and yeah, sure enough, killed instantly pretty much. I had to use admin console just to make the game playable again and ended up disabling them in the game ini file. ‘Maybe’ ill re-enable them but after an experience like that when i havent even 10 hours play time? Sorry but no thanks. I dont have the time or emotional self control to have to deal with demonic spiders spawn raping me. I then read online having a torch out stops the cheating fucks from attacking. I would not have even minded the things if they were much further into the game. But to be blunt its bad game design to have them able to spawn so fricken close to spawn they can spawn-rape you.
