Ark: How To Build A Viking House | Building Tutorial | Official Settings

This video is a step by step tutorial video showing you how to build a Viking House for Ark Survival Evolved! Perfect for the new Fjordur map!! WOOT WOOT so damn happy been on the build seven hours redone one entrance 3 times to finally complete it like it should. Problem solved I was going insane and pretty frustrated that it wasn't working for me but it was for you and other players. So I knew I was doing something but did not know what.

Holy shit dude, gotta say this is a pretty nice build once it's done, As a pvp player this was a little above my pay grade in difficulty but I got it done... with only one rage incident involving c4 after I missed a row of foundations and nothing lined up 😅 but love it and it was really easy to follow along to. Even for my adhd lose focus every 20 seconds brain. Gonna try a few more of your builds in the near future. Thank you so much

Just curious...at 14:10 into the video - when your preparing to do the roof - is that sloped wooden Roof or Wooden Ramp...kinda looks more like Ramp to me.

They are slopped wooden roofs. The images are almost identical lol. But my videos are voiced over and I believe I mention that they are slopped roofs.

I think the flattest area on the island I can think of is at about 40Lat, 18Lon. But that is a dangerous area if I remember correctly.

Another issue here the catwalk distance from the wall at 12:13 is not the same from other side. One catwalk is closer to the wall other one further away

At 10:56 of your build adding the 3 double frame door won't snap at all, any idea why?

Really loved this build, but one issue I ran into personally was around when we put the reinforced windows in. The walls that are supposed to meet where the thatch is, the corners are misaligned as hell and the gaps drive me insane. Although I'm pretty sure I followed this to a T

Can you leave a timestamp of where the issue was? There shouldn't be any gaps.

@@CHipZz roughly around 13:04. Before you placed the windows that wall, with the thatch and going around that corner was where I had my gaps. You didn't have it, but like I said it was an issue I ran into personally, it isn't really noticeable once you fill in the rest of the build and I did just fill them with corners. Maybe next time I recreate this home I'll get it right. Once again love your vids man!

Are you talking about the top most roof? You are using ramps correct? Not the sloped wooden roof.

@@CHipZz no the little ones on the side where you have your T. rex heads. One side worked perfect moved round to other side to do them the 2 end ones went in place on each end but none of the middle ones would place for some reason. Xx

@@CHipZz they won’t sit in the correct place at all they want to go to the side can’t get them to line up properly tried rotating and they just won’t go where they need to it’s weird. xx

Okay that sounds like ark just not wanting to cooperate for some reason lol. Best thing you can try to do when this happens is to try looking at the spot from different angles. If you're able to build like a thatch scaffolding so you can look at it from above that might help you convince Ark to cooperate lol.

That's very weird. The part where you place the overlapping ceilings? I recorded the build on official settings so if you followed everything exactly as I did it there should be no issue.

So cant get the ceiling to overhang at 19:51 on one side no clue why, sad because might not be able to complete the build. Damn spend many hours and now im stuck. Have destroy and rebuild but still cant get the catwalk to have the good distance so I can overhang the 2 ceilings. Really annoying and sad spending so many hours to end up stuck and cant complete the build. I have tried other players build and same thing always issues at a certain point that I cannot finish any of their build like they do. Well nice house build ill have to find another player build and retry again and destroy that one. Nice job anyway
