Note to all people who think this is a good idea, you can spot these bases by using the orbital camera (k by default) and looking under ground. Any guy with a trike and 5 minutes to spare can sink your raft and everything with it. They get nothing but satisfaction but you lose everything at the cost of a little bit of someone else's time

You can make it literally raid proof by making it look like an old, already raided low level raft. Simply don't place a door, and destroy one of the exterior walls. Leave all containers empty. People won't even bother destroying stuff

Since there were a ton of blank rafts on my island map my tribe chose this for our raft as a secret stash. This worked for us because the raft just looks blank until we move it from the location with a 2x4 glitched area off the boat itself. we since took everything off of it but still keep a small care package on the raft. However, the only weakness this has is of course "Someone sees us put/take stuff off" credit to you for giving us the inspiration. cheers!

Similarly, my babushka base is doing well, wood on the outside (some thatch for n a nooby look) and 2 metal 1x2's and plant X's on the inside. Alpha's ignore me and anyone else will probably give up at the sight of metal. 3 months and no raids on official pvp server that is always full :)

A trick that has worked well for me in the past is to build a small stone shack and hide your loot in chests under the foundation. You can also blow off the door with grenades so it looks raided and then no one will destroy the foundations in trying to get inside. Not perfect but good if you have to log off on short notice and don't have a secure base.

All good and all but it all falls apart if the wrong person sees you move the raft out of the rock or if someone just decides they want to destroy the raft for shits and giggles. Or after a extended period(with being lucky no one sees you move it) people will think what the fuck is with that raft that always just has junk in it or is always there/next to a unmine-able rock/surface/object and either out of curiosity or just sick of seeing it, they might destroy it. Not a totally bad strategy but it has way too many flaws to actually do it for an extended period of time and of course if people know about this strat(well then might not be safe to do this at all), could start to see people destroying any raft that does this. Cause it kinda is trying to circumvent being raided and people who want to raid wont stand for people doing that thinking their safe/"unraidable". Or you will just start to see people wait near the raft so when you move it they attack/surround you with big dinos so can't go back in your shit strat spot...

Thank you so much I watched this video a about 4 and a half months back we have been raided so many times I have almost lost count but they have never found the hidden compartment now we have taken all our stuff to scorched earth and have became more powerful then the alphas there and have sealed up all the drops to prevent raiders as well as starting to seal up the spwans our main base is in a cave and almost "unraidable" and we started from a load of rafts and now this, gonna need more recruits soon

UrDead2 Cs:go & more! It is "unraidable" though. Raiding is the process of breaking into a person's base and stealing all of there stuff. Anyone that raids this base can only steal the decoy items. They can't steal your actual stuff. Therefore, the base cannot be raided because the raider can only destroy your stuff, not steal it. Making the base, "unraidable".

Actually right behind that unminable rock near the explorers note is a giant tree next to a ledge. You can sneak your way into the ledge and build a small base into the leaves of the tree, wich makes your base almost unspottable. You can place spiked walls around the tree that looks like a taming pen, so it doesnt get knocked down by random people. If it does you can use reertilizer

Why don't you just clip the boat on the edge of the map where no one will be able to swim all the way out there with a giga or any other land based tames. even if they go in the raft most of the items are clipped outside the map so they cant do anything about it. Also if they manage to somehow destroy the raft all the stuff will fall to the bottom and they wont get any loot.

When i make a boat when am new on the server i build it with all the important and expensive stuff on one side of the boat and drive it to the edge and put the shit outside the barrier. This way I can park where ever I want along the edge and I can also drive around in it because it is fully closed. Been raided multiple times. Fix door frame, place new door, maybe fix a few walls and foundations and I am back to where I was. Raiders got nothing. I do love this idea and have used it my self. Still think you should build walls and roof around your stuff for the times it's not in the rock and you're using it.

Best strat is having an obnoxious amount of tiny bases my favorite base structure is my own upside down F structure. It house 6 forges two smiths two large boxes, twofire, 4 mortars , and enough room for our two PTs. Fab is outside on two stone foundations. Completly hidden by bushes.

pretty sure that's over 88 items on the build limit for the raft.... maybe not but the best hidden bases are ones that are made of stone on the outside with most of it "destroyed" to look like it was raided and a metal interior. Plus having 3 to 4 people in a tribe can really get crowded in compact hidden bases. I'd say have a hidden/out of the way base until you have the material to build a strong protected base because tames don't survive long in these setups. use this for a backup when you get wiped

+when they destroy ur raft while id on the rock those loots what is the important ones is going to be in the non destroyable rock so enemy cant get him:)

We did this for months on a center server on xbox, only we left the part where you drive untouched, parked them out in areas with abandoned rafts away from land (and gigas) and never once lost one of them.

every official server I have played on alpha tribes destroy everything with C4 or rockets including the raft for this very reason I also make it a point to completely destroy any raft I raid that's not sitting in open water. The minute it's partially hidden, it's an automatic destroy the raft after I inspect whatever might be on it first
