Usually for the lava cave i use a good sword and a crossbow with grappling hooks and i just power through and slice everything with the sword and bow down spiders and dilos and scorpions

Bro go strong cave kill one high lv dire wolf at least 650lv and tame it and use in strong cave to lv up it will get insane and ur lv will also increase like bomb

On brutal difficulty, your level doesn't go up like a bomb, it only goes up when you venture the cave alone and kill the higher level creatures on your own!

I went into the strong cave and killed a few direwolves, chose a 270 (max 150 in my difficulty) and pushed him in the entrance until I can kill it safely and got it's implant. Edit: I used araneo since it cannot be attacked by all creatures.

Actually wild castoroides build beaver dam overtime, you can build castoroides trap near your base, and I think it can build beaver dam almost everywhere in the island!
