Upgraded sponsor and that marketing power interesting combination. Basically the marketing becomes a 5 money then as you just break and play sponsors at break instead of playing sponsors regularly. But the upside is gaining x-tokens and much faster breaks so i dont think the first game was that good for it. With releases and low income and having a second worker yourself fairly early pushing breaks like that isn't so good. It seems best in a game where you are just better on income but don't have extra workers in sight so pushing breaks is good. Definitely will try to use this more, the combination with snapping just really solid too.

2:33 is keeping a release always good in the beginning? Are there cases when u don't wanna take release? Like what if panda did asian 2 in the second round and maybe release the bird later?

A large determining factor is the reward on 5 CP. A free University is so much better than 3 card draw, so it's a mini-race to get there. That gives any release project a large upside (hitting 5 CP in 1 project). Whether you should start with a speculative release project or not really depends on the rest of your hand. If you have other generically good cards / cards related to the projects then you probably take the strong cards over the speculative cards. In Panda's case there wasn't any other card jumping out as a "must keep" so the project is a fine pick.

In the first game, why did Panda ignore the Mountain Tapir? It's great value with Cable Car and having the Americas partner zoo, no? I feel like I'm missing something..

Yep, it feels cleaner to play that over the Mamba in the last round. I understand not drawing it up because better/scarier cards kept appearing after it (Geologist, Release project, Cheetah?!)

@@NoWondersTV The big mistake was doing a useless cards action in the endgame. Not playing the Mountain Tapir afterwards was also a mistake, but only a small one. The 3 animals I played all gave me a clever or an X-token (Squirrel Monkey clevers anyway, Mamba triggers Expert in Africa, Cobra lets me put a pavilion on the X), which allowed me to do Animals 5 twice while still retaining sufficient X-tokens to finish the game with a project + 2 CP partner zoo. As I had Fav Zoo, both the 14th and 15th rep were worth 3 points. But the Tapir is worth 9 points and the Squirrel Monkey only 5, so it would have been correct to just stay at 14 rep and not get full shields from Fav Zoo...although that is less satisfying! :D For the reason why I didn't really consider the Tapir: Pretty sure I had just forgotten already that I have Cable Car lol (I think I would've paid better attention in a close game 😅)

In the last break of the first game, panda could have crossed in just 2 moves: Do animals, play the asian and african animal. You get 12 points + 2 from flipping enclosure + 1 from expert on asia = 15 points. Clever down cards or build with expert on africa. Then do assoc with 4 X's, do release + partner zoo. Partner zoo gets 2 shields + net 1 shield from project + 1 from rep + 1 from donation = 5 shield or another 15 points for 101 points total

Definitely a very poor and sloppy finish. Should have taken the time to calculate the best line...but during the game, I simply didn't realize that I can release the cobra 😅 It is actually even possible to finish with 104 by playing the Mountain Tapir (which may also dig up something better). We don't need the Africa clever, as we can put the Expert on Asia pavilion onto either Clever or X. But very well spotted that I can end 2 turns earlier! I knew after the game that I didn't play optimally because just from feeling, 29 turns felt much too long for such a high-tempo break-heavy game. Seeing the mistakes like this in the replay is a bit painful 😂 But such is Ark: We had 3 of the best players in the world in this replay, and each did some significant mistakes. Hard to be perfect!

About "findable" cards, if you show the cards to Rainbolt, I guess most of them would take him less than 2 hours to find where they were taken.

I would say much much less than 2 hours :P
