You did call it haha, pachy saddle blueprint. I just an idea though sl1p, you should probably put a storage chest in your new elevator room and fill it with grappling hooks. I am imagining some point in the future where you get up there and realise you don't have a way down without your flying dino and you used your last hook getting up. Really well done with the build though, who needs thatch practice builds. I think a cool idea for a pvp base would be a tower build with no ladders, where you use grappling hooks to get up and down between levels, because who goes into a pvp battle with a massive supply of grappling hooks?

The grappling hook elevator is pretty awesome. If you put up some windows with covers and spikes on the roof of the building, that would be an easily defensible place for pvp.

Grappling hook elevator is awesome slip! You should try abseiling/bungee jumping off lots of cool stuff and other people dinos all over the island...build a diving board bungee over a big waterfall/lagoon and bungee into the water!

IF u have the skill and time u might kill a giga with a pteranodon using barrel roll. but it takes ages and any mistake u are dead.

+lucabrito I tried this on single player when i was having a giga problem on the north mountains, but i didn't have the stones to try it for more than a few passes. The time and energy involved wasn't worth it so i just used admin codes to kill all the wild dinos. I couldn't handle 7 gigas roaming around, it was getting too much haha

Sl1p, you mention wishing you could filter items - you can. I use the search filter to find the stuff I want, transfer to my inventory from the dino, then drop the rest using drop-all-items. Or, filter, then use "O" to drop the filtered stuff. Not sure if that's what you were referring to, but there's at least a rudimentary method for this already. Hope that helps a fellow Nashvillian. :)

I think ascendant torches are just found in the land caves, but you never know! It was hoped the normal drops around the island would have had their loot tables updated when they added sea drops, but that didnt happen XD. i have seen a team of 4 rexes kill a wild 120 giga, so it can be done with carefull training and mate boost.

Another one of those things that SEEM obvious that sl1p doesn't see at first. He just needs some sort of ceiling crafted on the overhang, pull back bit so you're looking at an angle and can see over the edge of the overhang, then shoot the ceiling *ABOVE* the overhang and grapple yourself in. The tiny doorway plan is an easy way to screw up and lose expensive grappling hooks.

Sl1pg8r Taking out a Giga would require multiple breeding's to build a much MUCH higher level dino. I think that is the idea behind the balancing. To encourage multiple generation breeding.

I think i am going to enjoy ARK for a while just by watching your awesome vids. Earlier this evening i played the game and my computer crashed. There is a massive memory hole in the game. GeForce users seem to have the most issues. I have avoided going into the ocean for months but i decided to take my Plasiosaurus out for a spin to get some meat and a few deep sea lootcrates. Sadly the game exceeded the memory usage and broke my windows. It took me an hour and a half to get it back up and running. Wildcard really needs to address this issue ASAP.

Between the accelerated taming/xp increased resource gathering, rolling the server back, and downloading pre-nerf dinos from other seasons, this season kind of feels like the least intense and most carebear friendly yet, imho. Not complaining, just an observation.
