Just some basic advice: Swimming raises your water back up, turn on a fire with the meat in it's inventory to cook it, Narco berries knock you out, Stim berries make you thirsty.

There is a way to make a private server. That way it's only you and, if you want any friends that also have the game.

That's why you make your own server and set it so only you can play it. You avoid the dicks and you can set things like how much stuff you get from harvest, how strong your attacks are, how weak the dinos health is, etc. You make the server, you set the rules, you are king/queen.

Yeah I would NEVER reccommend a beginner with no prior knowledge of how to survive, starting out on a public PVP server. That is just asking to have a real bad time. When first starting out one should always begin in single-player until they have a decent grasp on what they need to do and how the world works. Then, MAYBE move to a PVE server if you don't want to have to battle asshole pest players every few minutes. Starting on a pvp server in the very beginning is like the worst thing you could do.

Play on a pve server. Then you can interact with people but they can't immediately kill you. Just kite predators into you. (But if u find a decent server they don't) That or single player. But single player gets incredibly tedious without a tribe. But single player is a good way to learn mechanics and aggressive/passive Dinos.

Part of your difficulty is you chose to play on a hardcore server. On Hardcore servers every time you die you have to recreate a new character. The other part is it always takes a while to find a good server to play on where people aren't too trolly.

I understand raptors camping spawn points for prey, but therizenosaurs were primarily herbivorous. They'd be aggressive if you were a threat to their eggs, but no maniraptor would be foolish enough to set up a nest near a spawn point.

Don't eat narcoberries, they knock you out. That's what happened there. And you're better off getting and cooking meat than scrabbling for berries, they give much more food.

Berries are way better for hunger, they're easier to gather and give 2.5 per which means 30 berries will keep you well off for a while, they also are much safer to gather and require no resources to make edible. Cooked meat is only good for fast hunger and health regen.
