This comment is being addressed to anyone who's complained or wants to complain, please read and if you aren't satisfied then go ahead and leave a complaint. I just don't want to answer everyone individually or leave anyone without a response. I keep getting comments saying that my "stats are too high" or "I spawned an artifact" and I just want to say that it's not my fault. On speedrun.com, there's a category for ARK with stats (as well as command clauses) that have been set by a moderator about a year before this run came out. That moderator has recently stepped down, leaving me the only mod, only for me to give that moderator privilege to someone else and step down. I played using his rates, which are high, I know, but that makes this run 100% legit. His rules also state, "cheats are only permitted on a case by case basis to get a dino unstuck or to spawn in an artifact that has glitched out and will not spawn". That makes my skylord artifact spawn legit as well because it was glitched in the making of this video it wouldn't spawn. I'm sorry if you're still upset, I'm genuinely sorry, but there's nothing I can currently do. TLDR: Whether you think I'm cheating or not doesn't matter, everything in this run is 100% legit and verified by the original moderator of this speedrun

Been trying this out and initially the server was incorrectly set to difficulty 5 with twice as many dinos. Lava cave was BRUTAL but still managed to get the artefact after very much death, too long to bother with any real timing. Full run would be near impossible though, will get back to you if it's ever tried (maybe 2, 3 or 4 person could work).

Brad - The first two caves have to be done consecutively and the first artifact only spawns around 10-15 minutes in. So like I did in the vid, do something in the mean time like making narcotics. - The highest level rex your gonna see is lvl 15 and a 15 rex takes 19 tranq arrows to take down but chances are you’re gonna find something lower. - DO NOT RUN IN A BOSS FIGHT WITH 1 REX, one more spider bite would have killed my rex but she can easily kill a solo rex. - Something I learned during the overseer fight was I shouldn’t be riding a rex because of their stam. Whenever he takes a new boss form just whistle attack while standing on its back, but if you too far just mount up and get closer. - Make sure to find a good route for the blue obi and volcano. I forgot to plan those out and honestly I wish I did. - Memorize the cave of the pack route. It has to be the longest (distance wise) cave in the game so it’s easy to get lost and die. - I’m not sure if I had too (I’ll need to rewatch), but I think I found hesperornis along the way. If you don’t, you need to go to an iceberg on your way to the cave of the skylord (if skylord doesn’t spawn the command, “summon ArtifactCrate_6_C” will summon the crate). - When you get off the ichthy for the first time by the rock wall area, you make your way towards the cave but priority 1# is look for a ptera. As soon as you see one along the way, knock it out, and feed it. - After cave of the hunter and when you get to the redwoods mountain, start up a forge, and get enough for a crossbow and 2 grapples (I make 3 just to be safe but it’s a waste of time), but while the metal is smelting get on your ptera and look for a rex. This is a huge time save if you find one. - On that note, rexes sometimes spawn in groups, so trying to get a male and female will be worth your time. Mate boost is a godsend. - As you saw in the tek cave, I was hopping from rex to rex to keep them sprinting. This can normally be done with a ptera but becomes less useful when at the volcano and inside the tek cave. - In a run I did I spawned by a pack of sabers. Something you can do to save yourself is outrun them, make spears, and chuck it at their faces. You’ll be incredibly fast in this run, so take advantage of that fact. - In the same situation as the last tip, I was able to bola and tame a saber. You don’t need to, but they really help with gathering the keratin you need for the ptera saddle. - I swam to carno island, you might have to do the same. - Take advantage of everything around you sums up those last couple tips. In a previous run while in the cave of the devourer, I saw a dung beetle, I saw I could poop, so I tamed the beetle and pumped everything into melee and threw him into a pack of enemies. Thinking fast like that always helps in bad situations. - Finally, don’t be afraid to drop a creature. (not sure if it’s in this run or not) I had a ptera go unconscious inside the swamp cave right as I got to the end. If I had stayed, I would’ve died of toxic fumes. Or when I left my ptera after getting to the volcano. When it comes to pteras, itchys, etc, feel free to abandon if necessary. That’s all I can think of at the moment. If you want a good time, just remember that this is a speedrun, the less you stand idle, the better. Once you get through the caves, it’s just smooth sailing from there. Glhf, hope you beat my time ;) edit: I thought I tamed the beetle in this run but it was a previous run :P

This is a legit speed run, however it's needs to be labeled as a Any% speedrun because it wasn't vanilla. To this day, a legit ark speedrun does not exist. It's not really possible to do one due to how long everything in the game takes, it wasn't designed to be SpeedRan on vanilla. Quite literally. Just change the title to "ARK Survival Evolved Any% Speedrun". As it's also not the world record in this category. @CrowGuy

I don’t know if I would count this as a speed run, you started at level 100, your resource gathering was insanely high (the amount of resources per hit) and your Dino’s also got insane levels for very little it was the easiest possible setting speedrun not a regular speedrun but a easy speedrun.
