Easier way. Find alpha rex xdddddd and try to kite it half map to your dino.

Seems like the shotgun method was a lot quicker than the second Amargasaurus. Definitely seems easier to do a trap with this one. But I do wonder if the Amargasaurus will agro on unclaimbed baby rexes or gigas.

In theory yes, though the alpha raptor might die with lower hp than alpha rex. You would need to use door frames for the trap instead of dino gates I guess

Easiest way to tame them is press tab type in dotame while you are looking at them and hit enter. Job done.

Awesome video as per usual. Even better bonus is that once you've tamed all the Amargasaurus you want to, you can use them to kill the Alpha Rex to get a nice leveling boost on your new tame(s).

Steve….love your videos. Top shelf my friend. Thank you for all of your efforts. Some are so classic from queen bee harvesting to trying to grapple an argie while chasing a Quetzal. Great, great stuff. I’m 55 and have gamed since pong. If I’m not outside camping, I’m yelling at a tv gaming. Anyway, this new Dino is definitely a tricky one to tame. Love the light sarcasm in this video 😂. Anyway, watched several other videos and traps. Some good ideas. Someone is always trying to reinvent the wheel. Had a thought I was going to try but you do vids so I thought I’d throw the thought your way since I’m a long way off from the right resources in Lost Island. The idea started from bringing Dino’s to your amargasaurus and trapping it. And somehow keeping that Dino alive so it can be repeatedly used. And of course you not being able to wander off when it’s trapped. Your T-rex Alpha was great btw. So, I thought about getting the face hump, bringing the amar to a trap that also has a trap for other creatures to help tame it. Then, having cryo’d creatures in “my pocket”. On other servers I have some pretty healthy pigs that can soak up an ass load of damage. So, you ride / throw your animal into the other holding pen, and then “unclaim it”. I’m not sure if that would work as it’s not yours anymore and my own tames typically want to kill it if on aggressive. If this was the case you could toss in as many as your need or unclaim a seriously beefy pet that might endure the damage. I assume you could also pack it with food before the unclaim send off. Anyway, long message but again I’m too far away from this on Lost Island and thought I’d throw it out there. Keep up the great work sir 👍🏼

I assume this works for every Dino as long as it has enough health, you could probably do this method with a normal rex and a snow owl or a Tek pistol

This method is difficult because you have to time the net shot to get the distance, if the amarga gets too close or you miss the shot you may as well go find another

Definitely seems like the easiest method, solo or mp. All it takes is a decent level alpha, a good amount of metal, and a way to deal damage. If you had a day to kill, you could even do this with a prim bow if you’re insane.

You can trap a amarga and trap a creature like a carno use a snow owl to heal the trapped carno remember you beed to do damage to see progress not kill things. How you do it is that you make a 2x2 drop down trap. Put a ceiling on it so the amar spikes doesn't hurt your carno/daeodon (don't use wolfs not as tanky as carno or daeodon and normaly spawns in big packs). Once you have your creature trapped go around killing any thing that can interfere with your taming like any hidden yutys carnos or packs of wolfs. After you done that sync with your amar and lead it the trap not all the time it will aggro to your trap right away but as soon as it does, make sure your amar is facing the trap use billboards to box it in. Don't put your trap near a slope try and find a decently flat spot or your amar can just jump over the billboards. With my testing as soon as the amar is trapped it will start freaking out trying to run and not fight same with your trapped creature but your amar would still be aggroed to the trapped creature make sure to do some tester shots and make sure you are getting progress on your taming bar if it not just keep doing a tiny bit of damage here and there to check if you got progress . As soon you see its doing progress to your taming shoot your trapped creature till it needs to be healed around 400 to 500 health left before you have to use snow owl to heal if you don't have a owl trap a daeodon they can heal them self and can tank a lot of damage. This is a very stressful trap but works really well and can work on official server and you can do it solo. Hope this helps as i tamed a few high lvl amars already using this trap design.

I wonder if you could continue to heal the rex yourself with a snow owl and do it faster that way and a good idea would be to make the trap and get the red into it then use a quetzal or skiff to bring the amargo you want then tame it that way maybe
